WEEK 6:
The DREAM TEAM defeated the GOOD FELLAS(118.5 - 67.2)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
In a family affair, the Dream Team defeated the Good Fellas largely by the performance of Evan Engram (welcome back). The Fellas also were led by their TE (Kittle). It was insinuated that the Dream Team lucked out because the Fellas lost Etienne and Olave shortly after the game started. Maybe, but look at the Dream Team bench – many of those 0’s have nothing to do with the dreaded Bye week. So, if the fantasy gods “tossed us a bone”, we deserved it. The Fellas bench also had a lot of goose eggs. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 6:
The FIGHTIN' IRISH defeated the M. TAKERS(122.4 - 92.2)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Fightin’ Irish and a 52.1-point lead proved to be too much for the Money Takers and Breece Hall on Monday night. It may have gotten more interesting if Hall takes that one big play to the house. The Irish were led by Hurts as they kept pace with the first-place teams. The Takers were led by Hall and Daniels in the loss. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 6:
The ROXB WRANGLERS defeated the BODY SHOP(139.6 - 126.8)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Roxborough Wranglers and the Body Shop. It was a relatively high scoring game and the lead did change in Monday night, so I felt that was with “GOW” honors. The Wranglers and Garrett Wilson overcame a 12.8-point lead by the Shop on Monday night. The Wranglers were led by Love, Wilson and Seibert (another PK) in the victory that kept them in a tie for first place. The Shop was led by Pollard and Robinson in the loss that knocked them out of that massive tie for first place. Notice that I did NOT mention a certain 5th round pick (although he still managed double digits). Starts of Lawrence and LaPorta would have kept the Shop in a tie for first instead of the Wranglers. Apparently, Cousins only has the best game of his career when he unrostered in the SWFFL. This blatant anti-SWFFL bias is not to be tolerated. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 6:
The BLACK & BLUE defeated the B ASSASSINS(167.7 - 136.6)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The first annual “Black” bowl ended as the Black & Blue Attack and a 59-point lead held off the Black Assassins, Allen and the JETS on Monday night. The Attack was led by an MVP performance by Mayfield and some nice performances by Mixon (welcome back), Deebo and Boswell (wow - first time I mentioned a PK). The Assassins were led by Allen and McLaurin in the loss. The Assassins’ best lineup would have had them in that tie for first instead of fourth place. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 6:
The JELLY BEANS defeated the CROATANS(171.2 - 129.9)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Jelly Beans had already notched the victory against the Croatans in a battle of opposite sides of the standings. The Beans had pretty much locked up their first helmet as well, but Lazard’s half-ending “Hail Mary” catch put that issue to bed as well (pretty much ended the fun for the night – as the there was more penalties than fun in the second half). The Beas were led by Burrow, Henry, Brown, Gowin and Lazard. The Croatans put up a nice score, led by Jackson, Harris, Montgomery and Flowers. Pre-Game Hype:
