WEEK 5:
The DREAM TEAM defeated the BLACK & BLUE(172.7 - 138.0)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Black & Blue Attack. The Dream Team, Mahomes and Kelce overcame the 14-point lead by the Attack in the first quarter of Monday night. There was a a lead change, it involved the current standings leader, but it was not particularly close game in the end. The real reason I gave this contest “GOW” honors (besides the fact that it involved my team) was that the last pass completion Mahomes made was to Kelce with less than 10 seconds left and it nudged the Dream Team past the Jelly Beans for the week 5 helmet (that is where the real Monday night madness was). The Dream Team was led by Mahomes, Rub CMC and Williams in the victory that kept them in first place. The Attack was led by Chase (so Browning can connect with a great WR) and Ferguson who seems to have taken over for CeeDee in Dallas. The Attack had a bunch of better options on their bench, but even their best lineup would have fallen a few points short. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 5:
The ROXB WRANGLERS defeated the B ASSASSINS(113.8 - 93.4)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The Roxborough Wranglers had already wrapped up the “W” against the Black Assassins and still had Etienne and Worthy to play on Monday night. The Wranglers were eld by Fields and the clear rookie of the year Egbuka as they climbed out of the basement and joined the crowd at 2-3. The Assassins were eld by Hurts in the loss that dropped them below the .500 mark and there was not a whole lot of help on the bench for the Assassins. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 5:
The JELLY BEANS defeated the BODY SHOP(172.0 - 101.5)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The Jelly Beans and a 82.5-point lead was far too much for the defending champion Body Shop and Thomas on Monday night. The Beans were led by Goff, Barkey, Taylor, Williams and Waddle as they climbed to the top of the 2-3 crowd. The Shop failed to field a 20-point starter and even lost the ability to claim they faced the helmet team again (more about that later). There was some help on the bench, but not enough to turn the tide. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 5:
The GOOD FELLAS defeated the FIGHTIN' IRISH(143.5 - 118.7)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The Good Fellas and a 28.8-point lead held off the Fightin’ Irish and Butker on Monday night. The Fellas were led by Allen, Samuel and JSN as they remained tied for first place. The Irish were led by Stafford in the loss that dropped them out of that last money spot. The Irish could have kept that money spot and stayed above the 2-3 mob by starting Coleman, Diggs and Little over Henry (what has happened to the King), Walker and Butker. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 5:
The CROATANS defeated the M. TAKERS(157.0 - 131.0)
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The Croatans and Money Takers met in a game with no Monday night players. The Croatans were led by Mayfield, Montogomery, Shaheed, LaPorta and Fairbairn (another PK) as they finished just short of the Money Line. The Takers were led by Nacua and Darnold who just edges out Dowdle for the weekly MVP. Both teams surpassed the average weekly score, but one had to lose. The Takers had one bullet on the bench – but they would have still lost the shootout. Pre-Game Hype:
