WEEK 3:
The GOOD FELLAS defeated the BLACK & BLUE(132.2 - 89.9)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The Good Fellas, Gibbs, Flowers and a 14.1-point lead easily held off the Black & Blue Attack and the Ravens on Monday night. The Fellas kept that top spot in the standings due in large part to the performances by Allen, Gibbs and JSN. The Attack failed to field a 20 point starter and failed to clear triple digits. It appears that (much like the NFL team) the BNEGAL plan does not work without Joe Cool. The Attack had some better options on the bench, but none that would have handed the Fellas their first loss. WEEK 3:
The M. TAKERS defeated the ROXB WRANGLERS(140.9 - 134.6)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Money Takers and the Roxborough Wranglers. It took a lot of commissioner constraint to go with this game but when the Takers scored the “W” on a TD pass in the last minute of the game – I really had no choice on the GOW. As described above the Takers, Action Jackson and Bates overcame a 34.8-point lead on Monday night. The Takers were ked by Jackson. Hampton, Nacua and the VIKINGS (and survived an early exit by Lamb). The Wranglers were led by AJ (welcome to 2025) and Reichard in the heart-breaking loss. There were several options in the Wrangler bench that would have given them their first “W”. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 3:
The JELLY BEANS defeated the DREAM TEAM(150.3 - 148.8)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The Jelly Beans and Goff carried an 8.9-point lead into Monday night against the Dream Team and the Sun God. It is hard to imagine that a WR will outscore his QB, but with a PPR and the difference in yardage value it is quite possible. In fact, the Sun God was probably a 7 yard catch away from doing it, how ever he did come up just short. The Beans notched their fist “W”, their first helmet and handed the Dream Team their first “L” due to monster games out of Taylor and McLaughlin. The Dream Team lost this family squabble despite the efforts of Run CMD. The Sun God, Wilson and Gay. A Herbert or Pittman start (over Meyers) would have more than made up for the 1.5 deficit. Don’t you just hate it when you have the 2nd highest score of the week but are facing the helmet team. I know I do. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 3:
The BODY SHOP defeated the FIGHTIN' IRISH(104.2 - 96.6)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
In the first of 3 valid Game of the week candidates, the Body Shop and 24.3-point lead held off the Fightin’ Irish and King Henry in Monday night. When Henry ripped off a long TD in the 1st quarter, the Shop had to be extremely worried. Fortunately for the Shop, Henry fumbled away the Irish and the RAVENS’ hopes of winning the game in the 4th quarter. The Shop was led by Mason (may actually be the Shop’s real best draft pick) and Sutton. The Irish failed to field a 20-point or reach triple digits. The Irish had some better outcome-changing options on the bench (easiest was Scatteboo). Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 3:
The B ASSASSINS defeated the CROATANS(118.4 - 91.1)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The Black Assassins, Jameo and 28.3-point lead was far too much for the Croatans and LaPorta on Monday night. The Assassins were led by Hurts (although he was in and out of the Assassin starting lineup several times on Sunday morning). Turns out Caleb was the better choice but given that they both cleared 35 points, I could see the problem that Assassin HQ was having a problem making this decision. The Croatans were led by Nico – who finally lived up to his draft capital. A Montgomery start would have had the Croatans getting the better of their former partner. Pre-Game Hype:
