The Black & Blue Attack had the victory and the season split with the Croatans all wrapped up on Sunday and still Boswell to come on Sunday night. The Attack was led by Chase as they locked up 4th place. The Croatans wasted a nice performance by Fairbairn in the loss. The Croatans best lineup (Mayfield, Orton and CHIEFS) would have made that last money spot interesting.

Pre-Game Hype:

The Black & Blue Attack will try to lock up that last money spot by avenging their early season loss to the Croatans.

The defending Champion Body Shop earned a season split with the Roxborough Wranglers in what I can only call a fantasy game that beckons back to the days when we only had TD scoring. The Shop’s Lawrence was the only starter to clear 20 points and neither team cleared triple digits. The Wranglers failed to clear 40 points – I really cannot remember a lower score, and they did not have much help on their bench either.

Pre-Game Hype:

The Roxborough Wranglers will try to sweep the Shop and with a little help elsewhere, sneak back into the money.

The Black Assassins and a 37.8-point lead held off the Jelly Beans, Andrew and the STEELERS on Sunday night. The Assassins locked up 2nd place and completed the season sweep of the Beans largely due to the efforts of Williams and Wilson (what a pickup he was). The Beans failed to field a 20-point starter, and their best lineup would have come up short on Week 18 as well.

Pre-Game Hype:

The Black Assassins will try to lock up 2nd place with a season sweep of the Jelly Beans. .

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Good Fellas. I am very thankful that we wrapped up the Championships as I went to bed early Sunday night with a 50+-point lead against the Fellas, Warren and Flowers. Surely even Flowers (who has to have something against the Dream Team) could not change the outcome of that game. With minutes left in the game – I was awakened by phone calls and texts about the Dream Team’s sudden demise. As it turns out if we had lost last week, we would have still won the Championship by a meager 4 points (in total points. The Fellas were led by the dreaded Co-MVP Flowers, Gibbs and Gonzales (and an interesting choice at QB). The Dream Team was led by Shough and the Sun God. For those that we think we backed our way into the trophy, we did finish as the top scoring team despite not leading any one position. My partner says that is because we weren’t as dependent in bug scoring out of one or 2 players. Don’t about that but we also were the only team to clear triple digits every week.

Pre-Game Hype:

In a family affair that could have had some serious championship ramifications, the Dream Team will try to complete the season sweep of the Good Fellas as round 3 of the SWFFL faux playoffs (the faux Super Bowl) has lost most of its shine.

The Fightin’ Iris, King Henry and a 33.1-point lead barely held off the Money Takers and Co-MVP of the week Action Jackson on Sunday night. The Irish earned a season split with eh Takers and notched their only helmet of the year. If you are only going to win one helmet all year, the week 18 helmet is the one you want to win. The Irish were led by Stafford and Little (nothing little about the FGs he kicks). It was nice that the Irish won the week 18 helmet given that they were the only team to face triple digits every week, but the Fantasy Gods still made them sweat it out on Sunday night. The Takers were led by Action Jackson, Nacua and Loveland. A Charbonet start and the Takers take the Week 18 helmet.

Pre-Game Hype:

The Money Takers hope to get that last money spot with a sweep of the Fightin’ Irish and a little help form some other teams
