NORM'S LINES (my estimates) FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 4 finds us with no undefeated teams and no winless teams. I have a couple of house cleaning notes. If there is an issue like the trade that was not this week, please call me so we can clear it up ASAP. Also, the Assassins added a player to move them directly to the IR slot. Originally, I thought that it was like expanding your roster (for a minute) and I thought it should not be allowed. Then I thought some more and if 2 teams with full rosters make a 2 for 1 trade, the team getting 2 players has an extra player until they cut someone, so it seems similar. The EAGLES won, the Dream Team won (with the helmet) and climbed to the top of the standings, so the notes should be absolutely giddy – we will see. The dreaded BYES start in Week 5.

The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do.

Key Match-ups to watch this Week

The Dream Team will try to keep that top spot by defeating the Black & Blue Attack. The Black Assassin will try to climb above .500 against the Roxborough Wranglers. The Defending Champion Body Shop will take on the Jelly Beans. The Good Fellas and Fightin’ Irish will meet in a battle of money trams. The Money Takers will try to hold on to their money spot by beating the Croatans.

Norm (my estimates) was 4 of 5 last week making him 6 of 10 (60%) on the year. He gains top billing. Spock was 3 of 5 last week making him 5 of 10 (50%) on the year. His locks are below:

DT -20 BB (254)     GF -13 FI (253)
BA  -1 RW (239)     MT -19  C (257)
BS  -8 JB (252)

There was 1 game decided prior to Monday night. These multiple Monday night games are horrible. Not sure which I hate worst, the multiple Monday night games, the early Europe games or BYES.

The Dream Team (with Wilson) in their back pocket had already salted away the victory against the Croatans. The Dream Team climbed to the top spot and notched their first helmet largely due to the efforts of Mahomes, Run CMC, the Sun God, Wilson and Gay. The Croatans were eld by Mayfield and Cook in the loss, and did not have a whole lot of bullets on the bench.

The Money Takers, the Cheetah (who looks done for 2925) and a 36.9-point lead held off the Black & Blue Attack, Brown, Dobbins and Chase on Minday night. Hampton, Nacua and Bates led the Takers to the victory in this family affair. The Attack was led by Maye and Pickens in the loss. It is looking more and more like banking ion the BENGALS may not have been the best draft day strategy. The Attack’s best lineup would have won the week.

The Fightin’ Irish, BRONCOS and a 60.9-point lead were too much for the Black Assassins and Hall on Minday night, The Irish were led by Stafford, Irving and Jefferson as they climbed above the money line. The Assassins were led by London in the loss and they did not really have a lot of help on the bench.

The Roxborough Wranglers and Fields overcame a 25.1-point lead by the Jelly Beans on Monday night. Most weeks this would have been Game of the week. The Wranglers were led by Fields and Robinson as they notched their first “W” of the year. The Beans were led by McLaughlin (a placekicker kicking long FGs and being richly awarded for such) in the loss. There were enough better starters on the Bean bench to keep the Wranglers winless.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the defending champion Body Shop and the (at the time) first place Good Fellas. The Shop, Nix and Sutton barely overcame a 27.7-point lead by the Beans and Achane on Monday night. Achane added a TD and things were looking grim for the Shop, but Nix then came back and had his best game of the season including a double-bubble TD to Sutton at the end of the half. The BRONCOS went a little conservative in the 2nd half and made the Shop wait until there was 5:00 minutes left in the game to grab those final few points to knock the Fellas out of first place. The Shop was led by Nix and an MVP performance by Jeanty (welcome to the NFL). The Fellas were led by Allen and Metcalf in the loss. When you lose by less than 5 points there was probably some extra juice on your bench that would have made the difference. This game was no different as Deebo and Quentin starts over Flowers and JSN would have kept the Fellas undefeated and still in first place.
