Week 13 finds all but 2 teams in within 2 games of a money spot. Thise other 2 teams should really look into beefing up that week 18 lineup. The trading deadline is this week’s 14 1:00 lineup deadline. Also, this week is the last of the BYE weeks (6 teams off), so it is BYE-Mageddon part 2. But thankfully we will be done with them after this week. The EAGLES and the Dream Team won, so another mixed bag of feelings. We will see how it goes this week. The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Match-ups to watch this Week The Dream Team will try to complete the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack and keep at least apart of first place. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to sweep the Black Assassins and keep that final money spot. The Jelly Beans will try to complete the season sweep of the Body Shop and keep those money hopes alive. The Good Fellas will try to sweep the Fightin’ Irish and keep that top spot in the standings. The Croatans will try to complete the season sweep of the Money Takers and keep that money line in range. Spock was 4 of 5 last week, making him 34 of 55 (62%) for the year. He retains top billing. Norm was 1 of 5 last week, making him 24 of 55 (44%) for the year. His lines are below:
DT -9 BB (265) FI -1 GF (259) Only 1 game was decided prior to Monday night, the other 4 had some Monday night madness (well 1 did). The Roxborough Wranglers completed the season sweep of the Jelly Beans largely due to the efforts of Dak, Bijan, Dante and AJ. The Beams were led by Goff in the defeat. The Beans best lineup (Bam, Scary Terry and Ertz over Barkley, the Slim Reaper and Andrews) would have given the Beans the “W” and knocked the Wranglers out of the money. The Good Fellas scraped out a victory over the Body Shop as their 35.7-point lead held up against Dart in Minday night, Allen was the only 20-point starter in this game as neither team cleared triple digits (so that Good Fella helmet streak was smashed). The Shop had some much better options on the bench. In fact, many of the Shop starters were not the best option for the Shop this week. The best lineup (Lawrence, Doubs, Pierce, Sutton and Pitts) would have completed the season sweep of the Fellas and knocked the Fellas out of first place. But alas, that did not happen (more than just Shop pulling for that) and the defending champion Shop find themselves in dire straits. The Black Assassins and 63.6-point lead easily held off the Fightin’ Irish and Diggs in Monday night. The Assassins were led by Hurts, Jameo, Bowers and McBride as they avenged their early season loss to the Irish. The Irish were led by Stafford and King Henry in the loss and although they had better options in the bench, none would have changed the outcome. The Assassins have cemented themselves in the money and the Irish, not so much. |
The Dream Team and a 33.6-ppoint lead held off the Croatans and Robinson in Minday night. The Dream Team was led by Mahomes and Myers as they kept pace with the Good Fellas at the top of the standings (in fact they cut the Fellas lead in total points in half). The Dream Team were dealt an early blow as the Sun God left the game in the LIONS second possession on Thanksgiving Day (No thanks). The Croatans were led by Cook and Collins in the loss that dropped them out of a tie for that last money spot. The Croatans had a couple of better options on their bench, but none that would have turned the tide. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Black & Blue Attack and the Money Takers. In this family affair, the Attack salvaged a split of the season series as Maye, Henderson and The PATRIOTS (so they switched from the BENGALS to the PATRIOTS) overcame a 22.1-point lead by the Takers on Minday night. The Attack was led by Maye as they find themselves in a tie for that last money spot. The Takers were led by CeeDee and Rashee in the loss and were handicapped by a 0 out of their kicker (that is rare but not unheard of). The Takers had a huge number of better options on the bench, the easiest path to victory being the PACKER double-bubble. The loss does leave the Takers moving into the dreaded “must win” territory.
