Week 11 finds all but 2 teams in withing a game of a money spot. It is not so great for those other 2 teams. Another slow week on the waiver wire. Also, the week 14 lineup deadline is also the trade deadline, so only a couple of weeks left for wheeling and dealing. The EAGLES won and the Dream Team lost so mixed results. Also, I am not happy with being booted from the standings penthouse The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Match-ups to watch this Week The Good Fellas will try to keep that top spot by sweeping the Black & Blue Attack. The Money Takers will try to sweep the Roxborough Wranglers in a battle of teams trying to get back above the .500 mark. In a family affair, the Dream Team will try to avenge their early season loss to the Jelly Beans. The Fightin’ Irish will try to put some distance between them and the basement by avenging their early season loss to the defending champion Body Shop. In a contest between ex-partners, the Black Assassins will try to keep that top spot in range by sweeping the Croatans. Spock was 3 of 5 last week, making him 26 of 45 (58%) for the year. He retains top billing. Norm was 1 of 5 last week, making him 20 of 45 (44%) for the year. His lines are below:
BB -1 GF (263) BS -1 FI (259) Only one game was decided prior to Monday night, the other 4 had some Monday night madness (no - not really). The Fightin’ Irish knocked off the Dream Team, serving an eviction notice from the penthouse and avenging their early season loss to the Dream Team. The Irish were led by T-Mac in the much needed “W” (snapping their 6-game losing streak. The Dream Run CMC and Kittle in their first loss in 5 games. There were several options for the Dream Team to keep that streak going and the top spot in the standings. The easiest options were Myers over Gay or Meyers over Shakir (more subtle one: Kelce over Harvey). The Black & Blue Attack, Pickens, Ferguson and a 6.1-point lead barely easily held off the Jelly Beans and Williams on Monday night. The Attack was led by Pickens and Henderson as they completed the sweep of the Jelly Beans and replaced them in their money spot. The Beans failed to field a 20-point starter (or break triple digits) in the loss that dropped them below the Miney line. They had some better options on the bench, but none that would have decided the game. The Good Fellas and a 43.3-point lead held off the Roxborough Wranglers and Dak on Minday night (although Dak did out up a pretty good number). The Fellas notched their 2nd helmet in a row (4th overall) and took over the penthouse based largely on the efforts of MVP Allen, Achane and J-S-N. The Wranglers were led by Dak and Bijan in the loss that dropped them below .500. Their best lineup would not have kept them out of the L column. |
The Black Assassins, Bowers and a 37.8-point lead held off the Money Takers and CeeDee on Minday night. The Assassins kept that top spot within a game and notched their 4th W in a row due the efforts of Jameo and McBride. The Takers failed to field a 20-point starter and also failed to clear triple digits. Even their best lineup would have fallen just short. Now if CeeDee catches that last easy TD, maybe the Takers would feel worse (like the Dream Team felt about some decisions they made). The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Croatans and defending champion Body Shop because there really was no Game if the week this week, but I will give the Shop the honor since the Fantasy Gods are surely giving them “the business” this year. The Croatans were led by Baker, Cook, Collins and Lutz as they completed the season sweep of the Shop. The Shop was led by failed to field a 20-point starter (nor was there any in the bench). The Shop started the year by accepting the trophy – and seems to have gone done hill ever since. Yes, coach Casey, you can blame the Fantasy Gods for facing the second highest total points this year. But drafting a kicker in the first round is going to earn the wrath of the Fantasy Gods along with league-wide derision. So, Game of the Week – meh. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
