![]() Week 12 finds all but 2 teams within 2 games of a money spot. It is still competitive, but there does seem to be some separation starting to happen. Do not forget the Week 14 trade deadline (normally this warning is perfunctory, but not so much this year). Ok, the schedule is very weird this week – there are 3 games on Thanksgiving and a game on Friday. So, make sure you have your lineup is set before sitting for some turkey dinner. Happy Thanksgiving all. Some have more reason to be thankful than others. The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive content. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Match-ups to watch this Week The Black & Blue Attack will try to make the jump above the Money line by avenging the week 4 loss to the Good Fellas. The Fightin’ Irish look to keep that penthouse view by avenging their early season loss to the Body Shop. In a battle of .500 teams and former partners the Croatans will try to sweep the defending champion Black Assassins. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to keep pace with the Irish by avenging their early season loss to the Dream Team. The Jelly Beans will try to keep their Championship hopes alive by completing the season sweep of the Money Takers. Spock was 2 of 5, making him 21 of 50 (42%) this year. He regains top billing. Norm (my picks) was 1 of 5 last week making him 21 of 50 (42%) this year. His lines appear below:
GF -1 BB (251) DT -9 RW (267) One game was decided on Sunday, the other 4 games had a little Monday Night Madness (sort of). The Fightin’ Irish avenged their early season loss to the Black & Blue Attack and grabbed sole possession of first place. The Irish were led by Jacobs, Sutton and the TEXANS in the crucial victory. The Attack was led by Stroud and Collins in the loss and the help they had on the bench would not have made a difference. The Body Shop completed the season sweep of the Money Takers as Dissly and 48.6 lead were a bit too much for the Takers and Hebert on Monday night. The Shop was led by Pollard and Jonnu as the Shop jumped above the Money line and grabbed a piece if second place. The Takers failed to field a 20-point starter and did not have any on the bench either. |
In a rout, the Black Assassins and 109.1-point lead were too much for the Roxborough Wranglers, Dobbins, Andrews and the CHARGERS on Monday night. The defending champion Assassins were led by Daniels, Gibbs, McBride and McLaurin (it would have been a lot closer game if not for that 80-yard TD for the Redskin double-bubble with very little time on the clock). The Wranglers failed to field a 20-point starter as they were booted from first place. And like most of us during BYEmageddon, the Wranglers mostly had goose eggs on the bench. In a family affair that was not very family like, the Jelly Beans absolutely stomped the Dream Team. The Beans carried a 133.4-point lead into Monday night and still had King Henry and Tucker against Dicker and Likely (did not even get a target) on Monday night. Before Sunday night the Dream Team spent the day fretting over benching Chubb and starting Richardson then they were Saquon’ed on Sunday Night and it really no longer mattered. The Beans were led by the MVP performance by Saquon as well as Tua, Brown and Waddle as they completed the season sweep of the Drema Team and notched their 2nd helmet. The Dream Team were led by Kupp and Dicker and had very little help on the bench. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Croatans and the Good Fellas as this was the only game where Monday night madness came into play. The Croatans, Actions Jackson and Flowers overcame a 21.8-point lead by the Fellas and Quentin (who at least dropped a pass) on Monday night. The Croatans were led by Jackosn, Achane and Nacua as they notched their 5th W in a row and avenged their Week 3 loss to the Fellas. The Fellas were led by led by Jones and Kittle in the loss. Like a lot of us, the Fellas had a lot of 0s on the bench, but their best lineup would have come up short as well. Personally, I will be glad when the Bye weeks are gone (maybe for good – if the NFL adopts an actual 18 game schedule and drops the pre-season games – it could happen).
