NORM'S LINES (My Estimates) FORMAT- Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 10 finds 7 teams tied for a money place. This may also be a record year for trades (and almost all of them involved a certain team). There was one issue this week. Dallas Goedhart was picked up less than 48 hours after being released. I did not notice, until a few days later. Given the standing position of the team picking him up and the lack complaints by the teams under them (one being the team that released the EAGLES TE), I considered that an unprotested waiver claim and let the transaction stand. For Future purposes, if you are picking up a player. Please check that they were not released in the previous 48 hours. So the Dream Team won and the EAGLES won (against the dreaded COWBOYS), so maybe these notes will be a little on the positive side.

The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive content. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do.

Key Match-ups to watch this Week

The Body Shop will try to avenge their week 2 loss to the Good Fellas. The Fightin’ Irish will try to keep a hold of that top spot by completing the sweep of the Croatans. In a battle of .500 teams the Dream Team will try to complete the season sweep of the black & Blue Attack. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to keep their top spot by avenging their early season loss to the Money Takers. The Jelly Beans will try to avenge their early season loss to the Black Assassins.

Norm (my picks) was 3 of 5 last week making him 17 of 40 (43%) this year. He regains top billing. Spock was 2 of 5, making him 17 of 40 (43%) this year. His locks appear below:

BS  -7 GF (247)     RW -13 MT (255)
FI -18  C (244)     JB  -1 BA (265)
BB  -1 DT (253)

One game was decided on Sunday, the other 4 games had a little Monday Night Madness (well at least some did).

In a family affair the Money Takers avoided the season sweep by the Black & Blue Attack. The Takers were led by Murray as they started their climb out of the basement. The Attack was led by Hubbard in the loss that dropped them to .500. The Attack’s best lineup (Starting Pickens over Jefferson -- yeah right) would have fallen short as well.

The Roxborough Wranglers and a 59.4-point lead easily held off the Jelly Beans and Waddle on Monday night. The Wranglers were led by Purdy, Brown and an MVP performance by Chase as they maintained their hold on first place, scored their 3rd helmet of the year and completed the sweep of the Beans. The Beans were led by Burrow (hard to lose when your QB throws up 50+ points), but he did not get a whole lot of help. There was some help on the Bean bench but not enough to dethrone the Wranglers.

The Fightin’ Irish and 38.2-point lead was bit too much for the Good Fellas and Williams on Monday Night. The Irish swept the Good Fellas and kept pace with the Wranglers due to the efforts of Hurts, Sutton and Kelce. The Fellas failed to field a 10-point starter and there was not much help on the bench either

I suppose that the contest between the Croatans and Body Shop should be “GOW”, but when I have to stay up on Monday night to see the Dream Team finally cross the finish line, you can bet that game will be “GIW”. The Croatans were led by Action Jackson (seems like all the fantasy points were scored on Thursday this week) as Achane, Hill, Nacua and Sanders overcame a 35.3-point lead on Minday night. The Shop could not complete the season sweep despite the efforts of Robinson and Tracy. Starting Mahomes, Jennings and Feguson over Cousins, Thomas and Henry (mostly a reach) would have closed the deal for the Shop.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Black Assassins. Yes, it was a low scoring affair by a souple of teams on the bad side of the Money line. However the office of Commissioner comes with very few perks, so you have to take them when you can get them. The Dream Team and Kupp eventually (well into the second half) overcame a 6.4-point lead by the Assassin on Monday night. I remember when Kupp could put up 7 points in one drive. The Dream Team was led by Allen in the victory that pulled them up to .500. The Assassins failed to field a 20-point starter. In a game that only featured 1 TD per team, it is sort of amazing that both teams scored close to 100. This game also featured 3 of the 4 players in the trade last week. Nix, the 4th player would have given the Assassins the “W”. Actually, the same could be said for Goff, Conner, Irving or Ridley. Why no Nix or Goff, Trader Toast traded for Daniels on Sunday.
