![]() Week 3 leaves us with 2 undefeated teams and one winless team. The waiver wire has cooled a bit, but week 3 seems to be making a comeback on that note. The Commissioner had a very good Week 3, Dream Team win and notched their first helmet and moved above the Money line and the EAGLEs have remain undefeated. In 3 of the 4 leagues I am in (all with different scoring systems), I managed to score over 200 points this week. In the 4th I only scored about 150. I am in a very good mood. The only downer is that we lost 2 SWFFLers in Survivor this week. There are still many SWFFLers that are still surviving (for now). I’d like to see a SWFFLer win this year. The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Match-ups to watch this Week The Fightin’ Irish face the Black Assassins this week as they try to remain undefeated and stay in first place. The Body Shop face the defending champion Good Fellas as both teams try to climb back to the .500 line. The Jelly Beans will try to hold on to that last Money spot by beating the Croatans. In a family affair, The Black & Blue Attack will try to keep the Money Takers winless this week. In a battle of Money Teams, the Roxborough Wranglers will try to stay undefeated against the Dream Team. Spock was 3 of 5 (60%) this week, He retains top billing, Norm (my picks) was 2 of 5 (40%). His lines (my picks) appear below:
BA -2 FI (258) MT -2 BB (252) There was 1 game decided on Sunday, the other 4 had a little (most very little) Monday Night Madness (2 Monday night games). The Roxborough Wranglers remained undefeated by beating the still winless Money Takers. The Wranglers were led by Watson and Cooper as they tried to keep pace with the Irish. The Takers were led by Mahomes in the defeat. The Takers moved to 0-3 and they had very little help on the bench. The Jelly Beans and a 45.4 point lead were too much for the Black Assassins and the EAGLES on Monday night. The Beans were led by an MVP performance by Allen and some help from Herbert and the BILLS as they held on to that last money spot. The Assassins were led by Tua and Run CMC in this high scoring game. The Assassins had a couple of better options on the bench, but none that would have stopped the Assassins from falling below the .500 line. |
The Figthin’ Irish, DeVonta and a 28.5 point lead were too big an obstacle for the Body Shop and Puka Nacua om Monday night. Puka won the battle of Monday night WRs, but not by 45+ points required to put a smile on Coach Casey’s face. The Irish were led by Love and Hill as they remain undefeated and kept that first-place spot in the standings. The Shop failed to field a 20-point starter and they also had some better options on the Bench. But even those options would have kept Coach Casey from turning that frown upside down. The Dream Team, Swift, Chase, Elliot and a 91.2 point lead was way too much for the defending champion Good Fellas, Mixon, Godwin, Goedert and McPherson on Monday night. The Dream team were led by Action Jackson, Mostert (who put up over 40 points and was not even the highest scoring running back on the DOLPHINS), Walker and Chase as they climbed above the Money line and nabbed their first helmet. As I said, the Commissioner had a nice week 3. The Fellas were led by Allen, Jefferson and an Elliot like performance by McPherson. Question for the Fellas, at what point do you honestly consider starting Cousins over Allen? The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Black & Blue Attack and the Croatans. This was a close game and involved a lead change on Monday night. The Attack, Hurts and Brown managed to overcome a 28.6 lead by the Croatans and Kyren Williams on Monday night. The Attack was led by the aforementioned Hurts and Brown with an assist by Mike Williams (before he made his way to the IR) as they notched that first “W” of the year. Mike and Jake with only one win in 6 tries, say it ain’t so. The Croatans were led by (I just win, but maybe not in Fantasy Football) Purdy and his teammate Deebo as the Croatans fell below the .500 line. The Croatans best line up (Sander Robinson and RAVENS over PATRIOTS) would have kept the Attack winless and the Croatans above .500. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
