WEEK 15:
The B ASSASSINS defeated the M. TAKERS(164.0 - 100.8)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Black Assassins notched their 5th helmet (that seems high) of the year as they completed the season sweep of the Money Takers. The Assassins were lead by Love, the DOLPHINS and an MVP performance by Run CMC. The takers squandered nice performance by Mahomes (haven’t typed his name a lot this year) and Waddle. The Takers had some nice options on the bench, but their best lineup would have still fallen to the helmet monster that is the Assassins. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 15:
The DREAM TEAM defeated the BODY SHOP(111.2 - 98.7)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Body Shop. It was the second closest game, had a Monday nigh lead change and probably most important involved the Dream Team. The Dream Team completed the season sweep of the Shop as Swift and Elliot overcame 2-point lead by the Shop on Monday night. Action Jackson and Admas led the Dream Team to a 3rd straight “W”. The Shop )and the maybe fading Berry blessing) had their 4 game winning streak snapped despite the efforts of White and possible ROY LaPora. I think this loss was much less about the diminishing Berry effect and more about the Shop OD’ing (Over-Dallas). Dak, Polard Aubrey and the COWBOYS (almost half of the Shop lineup) combined for less than 20 points. The COWPOKES had a lot to do with that Shop resurgence, but this loss can squarely be placed on the failures at Orchard Park. The Shop would have kept that winning streak going by mixing in some JAGs to that lineup. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 15:
The BLACK & BLUE defeated the GOOD FELLAS(130.1 - 84.9)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Black & Blue Attack won their 5th in a row and swept the season series with the defending champion Good Fellas. The attack maintained a hold on that top spot due largely to nice efforts by Cook and Hurts (gusty call to start him after the downgrade, but then again the game was more or less wrapped up before Monday night). The Fellas failed to field a 20-point starter or crack triple digits. The Fellas best lineup would have ousted the Attack from the top spot in the standings (also would have involved benching some big names). Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 15:
The FIGHTIN' IRISH defeated the CROATANS(145.1 - 133.1)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Fightin’ Irish, the Slim Reaper and a 12-point lead managed to held off the Croatans and Myers on Monday night. The Irish completed the season sweep largely because of the performance by Baker and newly-added Samuel (love it when a free-agent pays off immediately). The Croatans were led by Kyren and the 49ER double-bubble in the closest game of the week. A Fairbairn start would have the Croatans int at last Money spot. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 15:
The JELLY BEANS defeated the ROXB WRANGLERS(159.0 - 128.4)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers, putting a damper the Wrangler championship hopes. The Beans were led by Njoku and the RAM double bubble (nice to see Kupp back in the 20+ point category). Despite the victory the Beans became the second team officially eliminated. The Wranglers we led by Rice (no not Jerry) and Gibbs and the sun God (Thanks Coach Casey). Despite the 230+ point loss, the Wranglers had some better option on the bench that would have changed that “L” into a “W”, namely McBride, Cooper, Warren and to a lesser degree Wilson.
