SPOCK'S LOCKS FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 9 finds the one team starting to pull away from the pack. At least 2 teams are firmly entrenched in the basement, however most of the league is within a game of a money spot. Weird thing is with the 2 teams in the basement, one has the highest scoring player in the NFL and the other has the number one RB going into this week. Seeing how the Dream team is one of these teams, I am not a happy camper. Yest the EAGLES are 8-0, but the 2-7 Dream Team is a damper on the EAGLE happiness. Anyone else think they should have left Weeler in there? BTW, they are having another one of those 9:30 AM Europe games this week. So get your lineups set early. I think these early starts should banned, that and 6 team BYR weeks. I the NFL wants a game in England or Germany, make it a night game there so we can see it at a reasonable time.

The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do.

Key Match-ups to watch this Week

The Good Fellas will try stay on top by avenging their early season loss to the Roxborough Wranglers. The Black Assassins will try to keep up with the Good Fellas by sweeping the Black & Blue Attack. The Jelly Beans will try to keep that last money spot by avenging their early season loss to the Croatans. The Money Takers will try to avenge their early season loss to the Dream team and keep their money hopes alive. The Fightin’ Irish will try to keep close to that money line by splitting with the Body Shop.

Spock was 3 of 5 last week making him 17 of 35 (49%) for the season. He retains top billing. Norm was 1 of 5 last week making him 12 of 35 (34%) for the season. Norm’s Lines (my estimates) appear below:

RW -1 GF (259)     MT -2 DT (258)
BB -2 BA (256)     FI -1 BS (245)
JB -1  C (253)

Two games were decided on Sunday, 3 games had a little Monday Night Madness (the Shop had no Monday night issues, but Sunday night may have been a bit insane).

The Roxborough Wranglers eked out the win on Sunday night against the Body shop. The Wranglers pulled out the “W” on Sunday night when Mahomes scored that 4th quarter TD (and the 2-pt conversion). The Wranglers were led by Mahomes in their 3rd “W” in a row. The Shop was led by Allen and Samuel in their 7th loss in a row. The Shop best lineup would have Coach Casey losing in OT on Sunday night instead of the 4th quarter but would have still lost.

The Black & Blue Attack had already defeated the Money Takers on Sunday but still had Likely and Lutz waiting in the wings on Monday night. The Attack failed to field a 20-point starter, neither did the Money Takers as they put up the 2nd lowest score of the year. The Takers could have avoided the loss with a Fields (61.9) start over Burrow.

The Good Fellas, Jackson and a 5.7-point lead held off the Dream Team and the RAVENS on Monday night. The Fellas were led by Etienne, Kupp and the Cheetah as they notched their 3rd helmet of the year. The Dream Team was led by Carr and Adams in their 3rd loss in a row (2nd week in a row against the helmet team). Alas, between injuries and BYEs there was not much help on the Dream Team bench.

The Black Assassins, Hill, Tucker and an 18.1-point lead were too much for the Jelly Beans and Kamara on Monday night. The Assassins were led by Geno, Ekeler, Walker and Jefferson as they took sole possession of 2nd place. The Beans were led by Tua and Folk as they fell but kept a hold of the last money spot. The Beans did put in their best lineup, so no help on the bench.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Fightin’ Irish and the Croatans. The Irish and Olave easily overcame the Croatans 2.6 point lead on Monday night. The Irish were led by Henry and Goedert as they climbed closer to .500 and that money line. Of course, it could have been a much easier win if the Irish did not sit Joe Mixon and his 5 TDs. The Irish main office better have that crystal ball checked. The Croatans were led by Hurts, Kirk and Kelce in the loss that dropped them out of the money. The Croatans dis have one better option in the bench. However, if they played their best lineup, they would have still lost, they would have just had to stay up later watching the Monday night game. You know 35 years ago I never mention the lateness if the Monday night game. Getting old sucks.
