SPOCK'S LOCKS FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 14 finds the Good Fellas magic number down to 1 (actually, down to 0 if you consider their lead in total points). So the race for second begins in earn earnest. The trading deadline has passed and so have the dreaded BYES. Unfortunately, the Saturday games start in Week 15, so make sure you check that lineup early. In other news, 2 out of 4 finalists in the Casey Survivor pool are SWFFL’ers. The EAGLES continue to roll (sort of like the Good Fellas). The Dream team is rolling like the Texans.

The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do.

Key Match-ups to watch this Week

The Money Takers will try to complete the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers and keep pace with the other 4th place teams. In a family affair, the Good Fellas will look to wrap up their 3rd championship against the current 2nd place Jelly Beans. The defending champion Black & Blue Attack will try to sweep the Fightin’ Irish in a battle of 4th place teams. The Croatans will try to avenge their earl season loss to the Dream Team and at minimum keep that 3rd place spot. The Black Assassins will try to keep that last Money Spot by sweeping the Body Shop.

Spock was 3 of 5 last week making him 32 of 60 (53%) for the season. He retains top billing. Norm was 2 of 5 last week making him 19 of 60 (32%) for the season. Norm’s Lines (my estimates) appear below:

RW -1 MT (251)     DT -9  C (263)
JB -2 GF (256)     BS -2 BA (254)
FI -1 BB (253)

Four games were decided on Sunday, only one had a little Monday Night Madness (very little).

The Jelly Beans already wrapped up a 40.9-point victory against the Roxborough Wranglers and still had Folk and Hollywood Brown to come on Monday. The Beans were led by Run CMC, AJ and Engram as they completed the sweep of the Wranglers, moved up to 2nd place and picked up their 4th helmet (2nd in a row). The Wranglers were led by Mahomes in the loss that even their best lineup could not have avoided.

The Good Fellas had already wrapped up the victory against the Money Takers on Sunday and the still Conner taking the field on Monday. The Fellas were led by Conner, the Cheetah and Devonta as they wrapped up their 7th W in a arow and second W against the Takers. The Takers were led by Burrow in the loss that drops them back to .500 and below the Money line.

In a rather low scoring affair, the Black & Blue Atack completed the season sweep of the Dream Team as Nuke Hopkins could not overcome Stevenson, the PATRIOTS and a 16.2-point lead. Chase was the only 20-point scorer in the starting lineups. A Sanders start would have given the Dream Team their 4th W. This game was pretty much lost on Thursday when the Dream Team RAIDER double bubble failed to reach 20 points.

The Fightin’ Irish avenged their early season loss to the Black Assassins due in large part to the efforts of Cousins, King Henry and D.J. Chark. The Assassins were led by Goff, Jefferson and JuJu. The results left both teams tied at 7-7 and very much in battle for a money spot. The Assassins best lineup would have still been s few points short.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Body Shop and the Croatans primarily because it was the closest game and involved the seldom recognized Sunday night madness. The Shop and Mostert needed only 0.6 points on Sunday night to avenge their early season loss to the Croatans. Mostert delivered, barely. The Shop was led by Allen, Pollard and Jones in the victory. The Croatans were led by Hurts, who pretty much was out there on his own as no other Croatan starter scored more than 15 points. Of course, when the game is this close, there is usually a player or 2 that could have changed that L into a W. This game was no different as a Williams start easily win the game (but I can understand the hesitation after his last return from injury). Najee Harris would have done it as well over either of the Lion RBs. Have we as fantasy footballers really been reduced to starting 2 RBs from the same team and that team is the Lions. How I miss the days of the workhorse RB. Running back by committee is truly harming Fantasy Football.
