NORM'S LINES (my estimates) FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 5 finds just 1 undefeated and every team has at least one win. I noticed I had not added the extra week in to my awards calculations. They are correct now (I think). Also, please remember that that when a player is released, he is on waives for 48 hours. The Commissioner’s office is almost giddy this week. Everything that went wrong last week went right this week (OK – I did not get resurrected in Survivor, but everything else was better), especially the Dream team and EAGLES wins.

The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do.

Key Match-Ups to watch this Week

The Black & Blue Attack will try to extend their 2 game lead on the rest of the league this week at the expense of the Croatans. The Dream Team will try to keep it newly attained money slot by beating the defending champions Black Assassins. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to take the next step above the money line by beating the Jelly Beans. The Fightin’ Irish will try to parlay their first win into a multi-win streak by defeating the Body Shop this week. In the only contest between money Teams, the Money Takers will take on the Good Fellas.

Norm was 3 of 5 this week making him 5 of 15 (33%) on the year. He regains top billing. Spock was 2 of 5 making him 8 of 15 (53%) on the year. His locks appear below:

BB -40  C (268)     FI  -2 BS (265)
DT  -8 BA (278)     GF -10 MT (290)
RW -15 JB (263)

There were 3 final games on Sunday. The other 2 had some Monday night madness (especially one of them).

The Dream Team had already wrapped up the sin against the Croatans, with the RAVENS playing on Monday night. The Dream team was led by Rodgers, Kamara and Brown as they climbed back above the Money Line. The Croatans were led by Evans and Sutton in the loss. Although, the Croatans had some nice performances on the bench, none of them would have changed the outcome.

The first Black Bowl was a bit disappointing. The Black & Blue Attack had wrapped up the “W” against the 2 time defending champion Black Assassin on Sunday and Mark Andrews pretty much delivered their 2nd helmet of the year on Monday night. The Attack was led by Mahomes, Adams, Chase, Hopkins and Andrews as they put 2 games between them and the rest of the league and remain undefeated. The Assassins failed to field a 20-point starter and they had some better options on the bench, but none that would have eliminated 100+ point deficit.

The Good Fellas had squeaked by the Roxborough Wranglers on Sunday with Action Jackson still to com eon Monday night. Jackson did not disappoint on Monday night as he put up 50-burger. The Fellas were also led by their ground game of Henry and Chubb. The Wranglers got a 50-biurger from Brady and a nice performance by Zeke as they dropped to 3-2. Hard to imagine losing when your QB puts up a 54. Truth is the Wranglers best lineup, would have had the Wranglers cursing the Blankenship miss on the last of regulation last night, but they still would have lost.

The Fightin’ Irish went into Monday Night with a 102.3 point lead and a reasonable shot at their first “W” and a helmet to boot against the Jelly Beans and Blankenship. Blankenship looked off all night and 100+ points were just too much even for a PK without issues. Jackson-Andrew ended any chances of an Irish helmet. However, an MVP performance by Hebert and nice games by Ekeler and Bobby Trees did give the Itish their first win of 2021. I think Coach Bone missed the helmet as much as the RAVENS were missing that 100-yard game streak at the end of the Monday night game. The Beans were eld by Robinson and Metcalf in the loss that saw them fail to break triple digits. They could have used the Mattison start over the inactive Cook, but in the end their while roster was outscored by the Irish.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Money Takers and the Body Shop. The Shop had a 100 point lead going into Sunday night. Allen and the Bills knocked that down to 35.6 and Taylor on Monday night. Taylor had that down to 13 after a 76-yard TD catch on the first drive. Then Taylor just toyed with the Shop for the rest of the game before putting them out of their misery in the 4th quarter. The Takers were led by Allen and Taylor as they climbed into a Money spot. The Shop was led Harris, Pitts and Williams in the loss that dops them to 1-3. It would be cruel of me to mention that for the second straight week a Dak start would have turned the tide for the Shop, so I won’t mention it.
