![]() Week 16 finds us with rescheduled games and well over 100 players placed on COVID-IR. It was so bad that the NFL decide to change their testing policies and quarantine procedures, especially for vaccinated players. The Black & Blue Attack and Money Takers are leading the pack and it truly has become a 2-horse race. The Dream Team lost again so the notes will reflect that. Also, because of the Tuesday games, I am writing some of this on Tuesday morning (for games that have been decided) and will have to finish it off on Wednesday night after work. One housekeeping note. I was informed on Monday that somebody had an issue picking somebody up over the weekend. By Monday, I cannot really do anything (and in fact this player was claimed in the bulletin board before I received the e-mail). All I can say, is if there is an issue you can call me (484)-362-8371 and I will figure out what the problem is and maybe even fix it. It also can not hurt to post the issue on the Bulletin Board so everyone knows there is an issue. If it is on the Board, I may even be able to fix an issue after the lineup deadline. The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Croatans will try to complete the season sweep of the Fightin’ Irish and keep their money hope alive. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to complete the season sweep of the 2-time defending Champion Black Assassins and put a vice grip like hold on that money spot. The Good Fellas will try to complete the season sweep of the Body Shop and keep their money hopes alive. The Black & Blue Attack will try to complete the season sweep the Dream Team and take one more step towards the Championship. The Money Takers will try to complete the season sweep of the Jelly Beans and keep their championship hopes alive, but time is running out. Spock was 3 of 5 making him 37 of 65 (57%). He regains top billing. Norm was 1 of 5 this week making him 27 of 65 (42%) on the year. His lines (my estimates) appear below: FI -1 C (257) DT -9 BB (275)BA -2 RW (262) JB -2 MT (264) BS -1 GF (261) No games were decided on Sunday. All 5 had some level of Monday/Tuesday Night Madness (some more than others). The Black & Blue Attack completed the season sweep of the Croatans as a 45.5-point lead was too much for Jacobs on Monday night. The Attack was led by Mahomes (is he back?) and Andrews. The Croatans were led by Tua in the loss. None of the players on the Croatan bench would have made a difference in the outcome. The 2-time defending champion Black Assassins completed the season sweep of the Dream Team as Goedert and a 29.2-point lead were too much for Njoku and Carlson in post-Sunday play. The Assassin were led by the Cheetah and Spock’s friend Kirk. The Dream Team was led by Rodgers in their second loss in a row. The Dream Team had some bullets on the bench, but not enough to keep them in the money. |
The Fightin’ Irish avenged their early season loss to the Body Shop. The Irish were led by Herbert, Cooks and Kelce. The Shop was led by Stafford in the loss that has really lowered those money hopes. The Shop definitely had some better options on the bench, but none that would have changed the outcome. Apparently, the Prescott-Stafford debate did not really matter this week. I am hearing stirrings that the silent partner in Florida is thinking of some organizational structural changes. The Money Takers and a 74.8-point lead held off the Good Fellas and Hurts, Chubb, Smith and the BROWNS in post-Sunday play. The Takers were led by Allen and Taylor as they swept the Good Fellas and kept pace with the Black & Blue. Just waiting for that one misstep that will allow them to leverage that point total. The Fellas were led by Hurts and McPherson. Singletary over Jeudy would have caused a standings shakeup. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Roxborough Wranglers and the Jelly Beans. The Wranglers completed the season sweep as Renfrow, Kupp and a 17.2-pt. lead were too much for the Beans, Wilson, Metcalf and Gay in post-Sunday play. The Wranglers were se led by St. Brown as they remain the dark horse in the Championship Derby. The Beans failed to field a 20-point starter in the loss. This game was still a toss-up going into Tuesday. CBS had it at 62%-38% after Mondays games. At that point, it was Kupp and 16.4-point lead vs. Wilson, Metcalf and Gay. Both teams traded punches on Tuesday night, but ultimately the probably Fantasy MVP Cooper Kupp prevailed for the Wranglers. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
