![]() Well here we go again. Our 33nd season is under way. I am hoping that this season will return to normal or at least get back there somewhat. Step 1 – a live in person draft with Emilio’s. You can’t beat that for a fun day. It was so great to see everyone. I’d like to thank my partner and Co-Commissioner for hosting this year. The lacrosse rebounder was a perfect draft board holder. The Bubba memorial was a great idea. It was a lot like having him there at one more draft. The EAGLES and Dream Team won, so this may be the best version of the Noted this year. The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Jelly Beans will try to stay undefeated against the Croatans who are still looking for that first “W”. The back to back defending Champion Black Assassin will try to keep their roll going against the Good Fellas. The Black & Blue Attack will also try to keep the 0 in the loss column against the Body Shop. The Dream Team and Roxborough Wranglers will meet in the weeks only battle of undefeated teams. The Fightin’ Iris and Money Takers will battle as both are looking for that first ‘W’. Norm (my estimates) beat Spock in the battle of the odds makers last year. They will renew their annual battle of wits next week. Spock’s lines appear above, but they will not count in the 2021 Odds Maker battle. Once again, I did that analysis based on last year's points. It is 53 out of the 105 in picking Elite Teams. As always, this analysis is based on last year's performance in points per game. If you are depending on a rookie or a comeback player then ignore these results. If you aren't necessarily relying on either of these type players and you're on the bottom of the list, you might want to consider hitting the transaction wire hard. See the old website for details on what players made up your “Best Lineup”, and I’ve also included the CBS gurus analysis as well on 50megs.
There were 3 games decided on Sunday, the other 2 had a little Monday Night Madness (very little). |
The back to back defending Champions met their former partners, the Croatans in week 1. The Assassins were not very nice as they almost doubled the Croatans score and notched the first helmet of the year. The Assassins were led by an MVP performance by Tyreek, Kyler, CeeDee and D’Andre. Run CMC left the Croatans, but he did not get a lot of help. The Croatans had some options on the bench, but now that would have changed the outcome. The Black & Blue Attack had already wrapped up their contest against the Fightin’ Irish and still had Williams, Andrews and Tucker on Monday night. The Attack was led by Mahomes, Williams, Godwin and Hopkins. Kelce was the only Irish player to break the 20 point barrier. The Irish didn’t have a lot of help on the bench. In the closest game of the week, the Roxborough Wranglers outlasted the Money Takers. The Wranglers were led by Brady and Kupp as they notched that first “W” pf the year. The Takers were led by Hockenson in the loss. The Takers had a huge game by Deebo on the bench that would have flipped the script. In a family affair, the Jelly Beans and a 44.7 point lead were way much for the Good Fellas and Lamar Jackson on Monday night. The Beans were led by Wilson, Copper and Chark in their first “W”. The Fellas were led by Lockett, Jackson and Chubb in the loss. A Gronk and Jeudy start would have had the Fellas bragging at the next family get together. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Body Shop. The Shop and a 3.6 point lead were no match for the Dream Team, Waller and the RAVENS on Monday night. Truth be told, if Rodgers does not play the worst game of his career this game is over on Sunday. The Dream Team was led by Waller, Bown and Mixon in their Monday night victory. The Sop was led by Prescott and Davis in the loss. A Williams and Montgomery start would have given these notes a darker edge. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
