WEEK 6:
The BLACK & BLUE defeated the CROATANS(137.1 - 120.7)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Black & Blue Attack kept rolling along, right over the Croatans. The Attack was led by Mahomes, Williams and Hopkins in their 6th win in as many weeks. The Croatans were led by Henderson and Sutton as they dropped back to .500. The Croatans best lineup would have hung the first loss of the year on the Attack. I could see Tua over Darnold. WFT over the Dolphins was a definite possibility. Jacobs over Evans – probably not, but Jacobs over Pittman would have done the trick too. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 6:
The B ASSASSINS defeated the DREAM TEAM(182.6 - 158.7)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The 2-time defending champion Black Assassin went into Monday night tied against the Dream Team. Fortunately for the Assassins, they held the tiebreaker (Lamb over Rodgers) and still had Diggs on Monday night. Diggs ended all the tiebreaker discussion early in the first quarter. The Assassins were led by Murray, Diggs, Hill, Jones and Lamb as they wrapped up their 2nd helmet of the year. The Dream Team was led by Rodgers, Fournette, Mixon and Brown in the loss. I wanted to complain about 158.7 being the highest score to lose this year, but unfortunately the Body Shop lost with 163.4 just last week. I guess I will have to go back to the “would have beaten every other team this week” refrain. Yes, Best lineup would have won also. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 6:
The ROXB WRANGLERS defeated the JELLY BEANS(126.0 - 117.6)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Roxborough Wranglers handed the Jelly Beans their 5th loss in a row. The Wranglers were led by Brady, Kupp and Fant as they snapped their mini 2 game losing streak. The Beans were led by Wentz and Cook in the loss. The Beans had very little help on the bench between BYEs and injuries. They played the wrong EAGLE (Reagor over Sanders), but who could blame them after the last few weeks. This week Reagor did his Sanders impression. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 6:
The BODY SHOP defeated the FIGHTIN' IRISH(134.2 - 98.8)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Body Shop already had the victory in hand against the Fightin’ Irish and they still had Brown and Bass to play on Monday night. The Shop was led by Harris and Stafford (what does Dak have to do to crack the Shop starting lineup) as they climbed back to within a game of the money. The Irish failed to field a 20-point starter or clear triple-digits. They did have enough bullets on the bench (Collins, Mooney, Waddle and Shultz) to turn that Casey smile upside down. That would have meant benching Ekeler, Gibson, Hunt and Bobby Trees. I wouldn’t have pulled that trigger either. Pre-Game Hype:

WEEK 6:
The M. TAKERS defeated the GOOD FELLAS(151.0 - 150.3)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Money Takers and Good Fellas. This one was truly a “GOW”. The Takers, Allen and the BILLS had a 13-point lead against the Fellas and Henry on Monday night. It did not look like that close (QB, ST and a lead against a RB), but Henry put up 76 yard TD in the first quarter and the battle was on. Allen and Henry traded punches like they used to in the old-time heavy weight boxing matches (much like the NFL game itself). In the end, despite the MVP performance by Henry, Allen prevailed. And although the BILLS did not contribute much, but when you win by 0.7 points every little bit counts. There were many routes to the “W” for the Good Fellas, the simplest being Haris, Singletary or Sheppard over Gaskin. Pre-Game Hype:
