![]() Week 7 finds me having to use a transaction overflow once more. BTW, when you are picking someone up, please check to make sure that player was not cut (in the transaction listing) in the previous 48 hours. Dalton Schultz was acquired less than 48 hours after he was cut. I did not notice until Sunday night. At that time the Wranglers were in last place. Also, the waiver period would have been over before the lineup deadline, so no harm no foul. But in the future please be careful (there were a couple more while I was typing these).
The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Dream Team will try to keep its little winning streak going against the Croatans. The Good Fellas and Black and Blue will meet in mid-season Super Bowl (sort of). The defending champion Black Assassin will try to keep their hold on that last money spot by beating the Money Takers. The Jelly Beans will try to keep pace with the top teams at the expense of the Roxborough Wranglers. The Body Shop will try to get back to .500 by beating the Fightin’ Irish. Norm (my estimates) was 3 of 5 last week making him 16 of 25 (64%) on the year. He gains top billing. Spock was 2 for 5 last week making him 11 of 25 (44%) on the year. His locks appear below: DT -19 C (259) JB -13 RW (273)BB -5 GF (281) BS -6 FI (252) BA -6 MT (268) There were 3 games that were final on Sunday. The other 2 has Monday Night Madness (sort of). The Dream Team had a 48.5 point lead and still Robert Woods on Monday night against the Body Shop. The Dream Team was led by Watson, Gurley (we did not mind that second score even if the FALCONS did, feel free to accidentally score every week) and Allen. The Shop was led by AJ Brown in the loss. Their best lineup would have fell short as well. Methinks Coach Casey overthought things with the Fells pickup and start. The Black & Blue climbed back into the top spot with the win over the Fightin’ Irish. The Attack was led by a monster performance by Hebert and Nuk’s normal 20+ performance. The Irish was led by equally monster performances by Rodgers (is he back?) and the CHIEFS. The Irish had some extra points on the bench, but none that would have kept the Attack out of first place (Is Brady back?). |
The Black Assassins and a 121.6 point lead against the Jelly Beans, Robinson and the RAMS on Monday night. The Assassins, led by Adams and the SEAHAWK double-bubble, notched their first helmet of the year and the 2nd highest score of the year. The Beans failed to start a 20 point scorer as they slipped back into a tie for first. No players on their bench would have changed that outcome. The Good Fellas carried a 26.5 point lead into Monday night against the Money Takers and Cupp. Cupp came up a long TD short. The Fellas were led by Murray and Robinson as they climbed back up into a tie for first. The Takers were led by Bree and Boyd in the loss. The Takers played a pretty optimal lineup, so there were only a few more points on the bench. This very easily could have been Game of the Week. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Roxborough Wranglers and the Croatans. The Wranglers were led by Godwin as they climbed out of the basement. The Croatans were led by Tannehill (he is back since middle of last year), Beasley and Scary Terry (or Scoring McLaurin – yes I think I like that one better). The Croatans probably win easily if the OBJ does not try to become Bill Bergy out there, but he did and now his season is over and his goose-egg cost the Croatans a “W”, as I think he cores at least 9 points if he plays the whole game. The loss also knocked the Croatians into the Basement. No Monday night madness, 2 teams battling for the basement and possibly the lowest scoring game of the week. Maybe it is time to retire the guy who picks the Game of the Week. I will put a blue-ribbon commission on it and they can get back to me in 180 days and then I will just do what I wanted to do any way (sorry could not resist).
