![]() Week 11 finds the gap between the Haves and Have-nots standing steady at 3 games. The 6 Haves are all within a game of first place and all are tied for a money spot. The Have-nots are all closer to last place than a money place. There are still 6 weeks left, but that is not a lot of time to make a move. If you are going to make move from the Have-not bunch, there is no time like the present. There are a few Thanksgiving games this Thursday, so before you throw the Turkey in the oven, make sure you get you players in (or out) of your lineup. Everybody have a Happy Thanksgiving. The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Money Takers will try to complete the season sweep against the Croatans and stay out of the basement. The Good Fellas will try to sweep the Body Shop in a contest within the 704 crowd. The Black & Blue Attack will try to keep a hold of their newly acquired penthouse digs by avenging their week 3 loss to the Jelly Beans. The Dream Team will try to hold onto their shiny new money spot by sweeping the Roxborough Wranglers. The defending champion Black Assassins will try to increase their repeat chances by completing the season sweep of the Fightin’ Irish. Spock was 5 of 5 last week making him 26 of 45 (58%) on the year. He retains top billing. Norm (my estimates) was 2 of 5 last week making him 23 of 45 (51%) on the year. His locks (my estimates) appear below: MT -2 C (250) DT -9 RW (267)GF -1 BS (255) FI -1 BA (255) JB -2 BB (256) There were 1 game that was decided on Sunday. The other 4 had some Monday Night Madness (some more than others). The Black Assassins scored their 3rd helmet as they avenged their week 2 loss to the Good Fellas. That game was considerably closer. The Assassins were led by Wilson, Adams, Lockett and Kelce as they kept pace with the Black & Blue Attack and joined the log jam at 7-4. The Fellas were led by Murray and Waller in the loss that dropped them below the money line and into the 7-4 logjam. The Fellas had a couple of better options on the bench, but none would have changed the result. The Black & Blue Attack carried a 65.7 point lead into Monday night against the Croatans and Goff on Monday night. Goff put up a very respectable number, but only managed to cut the lead in half. (ok less than half). The Attack was led by Herbert (ROY??) as the swept the Croatans and kept the top spot by over an increasing crowd a game back. The Croatans were led by Goff in the loss. Their best lineup would have lost as well. |
The Roxborough Wranglers, Godwin and a 26.5-point lead proved t be too much for the Fightin’ Irish, Brady, RoJo and Evans on Monday night. The Wranglers were led by Newton, Henry and Samuel in the completion of the sweep of the Irish. The Irish failed field a 20-point starter in their 9th loss in a row. A Rodgers start over Brady would have snapped that streak. The Dream Team, Woods, Gronk and the BUCCANEERS overcame a 19.7 point lead on Monday night by the Jelly Beans. The Dream Teams was led by Watson, Allen and Woods as the avenged their Week 2 loss to the Jelly Beans and climbed above the money line into that 7-4 logjam. The Beans were led by Cook and the Cheetah as they fell out of first and into that 7-4 logjam. Starting Gordon and Cooks over Crowder and Meyers would have kept the Beans in first place instead of fourth. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Body Shop and the Money Takers. Now, if full disclosure, I was rooting for the Takers here for more reasons than one. The Shop carried a 31.2-point lead into Monday night against the Takers, the RAMS and Berry’s Little Cooper Kupp. Kupp got off to a bang with about 5 catches in the first series. Unfortunately for the Takers, he cooled off considerably. However, he was largely the reason the Takers were losing by 2.7 points with 2 minutes left to go. The Takers need a sack and a turnover in that last drive. They only got the pick and wound up losing by .7 points. The Shop was led by Mahomes, Dionate and Andrews as they joined the logjam at 7-4 and completed the season sweep of the Takers. The Takers were led by Thielen, Kupp and Jefferson in the loss. The Takers can take solace in the fact that they put their best lineup in their and a coaching decision did not cost them the game. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
