![]() Week 5 finds scoring taking a bounce back as 3 teams scored over 170 points this week. In fact the Dream Team score is in the top 10 of all time (7th I think). Some final housekeeping, when you post a transaction on the bulletin board it is final. You cannot change who you want to cut nor can you revoke the transaction. I know people can make mistakes (I make them all the time). However, it is a little harder to claim a mistake when you are typing a message (it is easier to understand accidentally picking the wrong name off a list, but not as easy when you are typing a message). I think the fairest thing to do is to just process all bulletin board transactions as they appear in the board. The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Roxborough Wranglers will try to keep their tie for the top slot this week against the Jelly Beans who are trying to climb out of the bottom spot. The Croatans and Body Shop will meet in game amongst the teams in the log jam at 2-3. The Money Takers will take on the Dream Team in a battle of money teams. The Good Fellas and Fightin’ Irish will meet as they both try to break out of that 2-3 log jam. In the return of the “Black” bowl, the Black Assassins will meet the Black & Blue Attack. Norm (my estimates) were 2 of 5 last week making him 8 of 15 (53%) on the year. Norm retains top billing. Spock was 2 of 5 last week making him 6 of 15 (40%) on the year. Spock’s locks appear below: RW -16 JB (228) GF -19 FI (263)BS -4 C (244) BB -20 BA (256) DT -9 MT (285) Two games were final on Sunday. The other 3 had some Monday night madness (some ore than others). The Money Takers won their 4th in a row and captured the top spot on the standings with their “W” over the Black Assassins. The Takers were led by Murray, Jones, Boyd and Kupp as they topped 170 pts. The Assassins were led by Robinson in the loss. The Assassins left some points on the bench, but not enough to make a difference. The Croatans carried a 37.2 point lead against the Jelly Beans and the BROWNS. That of course was way too much for a Defense. The Croatans were led by Chark and Theielen as they climbed into the 2-3 log jam just under the Money Line. The Beans were led by Fournette as they fell to 1-4. |
The Dream Team snapped the “Helmet Hangover” in style by grabbing back-to-back helmets (3rd in 5 weeks) against the Fightin’ Irish. The Dream Team put up 221.1 points on Sunday and carried a 46.6 point lead into Monday night against the Irish and Nick Chubb. Chubb could not reproduce his week 4 performance. Run CMC and Fuller reproduced Chubb’s 50+ pt. performance for the Dream Team. Michel also had a nice performance. The Irish were led by Brady, Thomas as and Sutton in the loss. The Good Fellas and Black & Blue Attack met in what I might normally have deemed “GOW” based on all the Monday night action. The Fellas and Kittle went into Monday night up by 26.2 points against the Attack OBJ and Gould. Gould had a horrible night (leaving 20 points in missed FGs on the field). OBJ may have been a better RB and QB then he was a WR (or punt returner). Kittle covered them both and extended their lead and putting the Fellas over the 170 point barrier for the week. The Fellas also benefitted by nice performances by Wilson, Edelman and JuJu. The Attack was led by Godwin and 50+ pt. performance by Watson. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Body Shop and the Roxborough Wranglers. There was no Monday night madness, but it was by far the closest game of the week. The Wranglers eked out a 5 point victory and remained in a tie for first place due in large part to performance by Winston and Cook. The Shop failed to field a 20 pt. performer in the loss. A Josh Allen and Westbrook start would have had the Shop above the Money line instead of the Wranglers. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
