![]() Well here we go again. Our 31st season is under way. A few house cleaning remarks. Next week, I have a memorial to attend on Sunday morning so I will NOT be available on Sunday morning. If you have an issue and Norm cannot resolve it, post something on the bulletin board just so it is out there and there is no question about it. Work is kind of nuts this year, so I may not be able to take off every Tuesday like I normally do. Also this year (on the off-season), I converted my FoxPro programs for doing notes. I put Linux/Apache/PostgreSQL and php on an old computer and now I am using that to produce all the 50megs web pages and the box scores and note headers. So with anything new there are bound to kinks. Bottom line, we will have Notes every week, but they may not always be out on Tuesday morning. As always for week 1, there were way too many transactions to fit in the space I have, the overflow is below: The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Dream Team and Roxborough Wranglers will meet in week 2, fresh off of week 1 victories. Week 2 features a matchup of recently estranged ex-partners the Croatoans and the Black Assassins, both in search of their first "W" flying solo. In a family affair, the Jelly Beans will meet the Good Fellas, bit still looking for that first 2019 "W". The Defending Champion Body Shop will try to keep rolling against the Money Takers in week 2. The Black & Blue Attack will meet the Fightin' Irish in week 2 as undefeated teams. Spock beat Norm (my estimates) in the battle of the odds makers last year. They will renew their annual battle of wits next week. Spock's lines appear above, but they will not count in the 2019 Odds Maker battle. Once again, I did that analysis based on last year's points. It is 50 out of the 96 in picking Elite Teams. As always, this analysis is based on last year's performance in points per game. If you are depending on a rookie or a comeback player then ignore these results. If you aren't necessarily relying on either of these type players and you're on the bottom of the list, you might want to consider hitting the transaction wire hard. See the old website for details on what players made up your Best Lineup, and I've also included the CBS gurus analysis as well on 50megs.

A Monday night double-header meant a lot of Monday Night Madness!! There were no games that were final on Sunday. The Dream Team, Fuller and an 88.3 point lead were too much for the Black Assassins and Hopkins on Monday night. The Dream team was led by Run CMC, D-Jax, Engram and Greg the Leg as they won the first helmet of 2019. Hopkins led the Assassins the loss. The Body Shop, Sanders and a 29.2 pt. lead held off the Good Fellas and Jacobs. The Shop was led by the Allen (Instead of Mahomes of Jackson???), Carson, Ingram and Walker. The Fellas were led bu Wilson and Jacobs in the loss. Coach Casey benched Mahomes!!?? The Fightin' Irish and the SAINTS double-bubble (I refuse to use trendy double stack term) overcame a 33.8 point lead by the Jelly Beans in some real Monday Night Madness. The IrIsh were led by Cooper and that SAINTS double-bubble. The Beans were led by Bell and Jeffrey in the loss. A Crowder start or either of their backup TEs would have made this much nicer night for the Beans. The Black & Blue Attack, Watson and Duke Johnson carried a 38.7 point lead against the Money Takers, Lindsay, Fairbairn and the BRONCOS. The Attack widened the lead and even threatened to steal the Dream Team Helmet. The Attack was led by Watson and Ekeler in the blowout victory. The Takers failed field a 20 point starter and failed to clear triple digits in the loss. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Croatans and the Roxborough Wranglers. The Wranglers, Cook and the SAINTS carried a 7.1 point lead into Monday night against the Croatans and Kamara. I believe the lead changed a few times and the Croatans loss due primarily due to a 5 yard loss by Kamara on his last carry (source: Coach Casey). The Wranglers were led to their 0.2 pt. victory by Cook and Johnson. The Croatans were led by Wentz and Kamara in the heart-breaking (and stopping) loss in their inaugural game. Can they survive their first season? CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
