![]() Week 7 finds the gap between the top and the bottom widening. However there is a 4 way tie for second place and 8 teams are within 2 games of first so it is still pretty competitive. Also, thanks in large part to Trader Brett, the waiver wire is still on fire. OK - the dreaded BYE weeks may have some impact as well. BTW, as you may all know, I hate the BYE weeks. But you know what I find more annoying than the BYEs . . . these early Sunday morning games. If the Brits want to watch football live, let them watch at night like we have to on Sunday, Monday and Thursday night (another pet peeve of my own). The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Body Shop will try to remain King of the Hill by defeating the Bishops of Battle. The Dream Team will try to climb back over that Money Line with a W against the Roxborough Wranglers. The Money Takers will try to hold on to that last Money Spot by fending off the Jelly Beans. Two of the hottest teams meet in Wek 8 as the Black & Blue Attack take on the Fightin' Irish. The Young Gunz will try to get back to .500 by beating the Good Fellas. Norm (my estimates) was 3 for 5 last week making him 14/25 (56%). He regains top billing. Spock was 2 of 5 last week making him 12/25 (48%) on the season. His locks appear below: BS -2 BI (276) FI -3 BB (275)DT -14 RW (258) YG -10 GF (274) MT -10 JB (276) Monday night had some Monday night madness in two games. The rest of the week 7 schedule was decided on Sunday. The Body Shop remained on the top spot as they defeated Good Fellas. The Shop was led by the RAMS and another strong performance by that CHIEF double-bubble. The Fellas were led by Brady in the loss. The Fellas did not have a lot of help on the bench either. I really hate BYE weeks. The Black & Blue Attack beat the Money Takers and now are in a tie with the Takers at that 4-3 bunching. The Attack was led by Trubisky, White and Kittle as they landed just outside of the Money. The Takers were led by Cam in the loss. The Takers also had little help on the bench. Interestingly the Takers have lost 3 in a row after starting 4-0. The attack on the other hand has won 4 in a row after starting 0-3. |
The Young Gunz had already won the game against the Roxborough Wranglers and still had Barkley to come on Monday Night. The Gunz were led by Barkley and Thielen as the Young Gunz are finally starting to convert those high point totals into wins. The Wranglers were led by Cousins and Jeffery in their 3rd loss in a row. The Wranglers had some help on the bench but no starting lineup would have won the day for them. The Fightin' Irish and Julio carried a 76.2 point lead into Monday night against the Bishops of Battle, Ryan, Shepard and Tavecchio. The Bishops dis well with each of their Monday night starters eclipsing the 20 point line, but even without Julio's near 20 point night, the Irish would have still won. Julio did get the Irish their 3 helmet in 4 weeks. IN fact with the help of Rivers, Hunt and Ertz the Irish have won 4 in a row after starting 0-3. The Bishops could have turned that around with a Murray and Fuller or Williams start. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Jelly Beans. The Jelly Beans and Hooper had a 16.4 pt. lead against the Dream Team, Coleman and Beckham. CBS had the Dream Team projected to win going into Monday night but it was only a 54% chance. The Dream Team had a decent first quarter, but Beckham and Coleman seemed to disappear until the 4th quarter. The Dream Team finally pulled ahead (barely) near the end of the game. Coleman went in from 30 yards out and OBJ threw in the definition of a garbage time TD with 5 seconds left to make the game and your Commish was able to go to sleep with the Dream of a repeat seeming a little more possible. The Dream Team was led by Beckham and Sanders as they continued their Win-Loss see-saw. The Beans were led by the BRONCOS in the loss, and they had very little help on the bench. Gordon, AB and Cook on the BYE, maybe they are not that bad after all. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
