![]() Week 11 finds 6 teams within 1 game of first place. In fact 8 teams are within 2 games with 6 weeks to go. I think we are in for a fantastic finish. Speaking of fantastic, how was that Monday night football game. I know it hurt some and helped some, but from a pure fantasy football (or even plain football) fan, that game was just plain awesome. OK I have 8 (counting the Dream Team - which I still have to verify with my partner) Yes votes on the Ronnie Waiver rule. Still need a yes vote from the Black & Blue Attack or Good Fellas to implement it this year (mid-season). The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Match-ups to watch this Week The Jelly Beans will try to avenge their week 3 loss to the Bishops of Battle and keep pace with the Shop at the top. The Dream Team will try to break their see-saw W-L pattern by sweeping the Good Fellas. The Black & Blue Attack looks to keep their Money spot by avenging their early season loss to the Roxborough Wranglers. The Body Shop will try to keep that top spot by sweeping the season series with the Fightin' Irish. In a battle of teams trying to get back to .500, the Money Takers will try to sweep the Young Gunz. Spock was 2 of 5 last week making him 20/45 (44%). He retains top billing. Norm (my estimates) was 2 of 5 last week making him 24/45 (53%). His lines (my estimates) appear below: BI -1 JB (269) FI -1 BS (273)DT -9 GF (285) MT -2 YG (268) RW -2 BB (266) Monday night had some real Monday night madness. With 2 teams like that, every losing team had something going in Monday night and we may have has the greatest Monday night comeback of all time. The Roxborough Wranglers and 98.2 point lead proved to be way too much for the Bishops of Battle and Gurley on Monday night. Gurley is great, but not that great. The Wranglers were led by Big Ben, Evans and Bryant as they avenged their week 2 loss and kept that Money line in sight. The Bishops were led by Wilson in the loss. The Bishops did not have much help on the bench (really hurt by BYE) as their entire roster failed to clear triple digits. The Jelly Beans, Cooks and a 63.5 point lead were too much for the Good Fellas and Kelce on Monday night. The Beans were led by Brees and AB as they completed the season sweep of the Good Fellas. Despite the "W", the Beans fell to 2nd place (tied for first in record but now behind in points). The Fellas were led by Kelce in the 3rd loss in a row, and they had very little help on the bench. |
Young Gunz completed the season sweep of the Fightin' Irish as Greg the Leg and a 81.7 point lead were way too much for the Irish pair of Hunt and Butker on Monday night. The Gunz were led by Luck, Barkley, Allen and Diggs and looked well on their way to the week 11 helmet (but then Monday night happened). The Irish were led by Rivers and Julio in the loss which although bad, bdi not knock the Irish out of the money. The Irish had some bullets on the bench but not enough to make a difference. The Dream team avenged their week 2 loss to the Money Takers as they continued their odd week dominance. The Dream Team, Goff and Woods overcame a 24.7 point lead by the Takers and Reynolds on Monday night. The teams swapped the lead back and forth before Goff put the contest out of doubt with some 4th quarter heroics. The Dream Team was led by Goff, Fournette (welcome back) and Galloday in the win. The Takers were led by Cam, Kamara and Reynolds in the loss. A DJ Moore start over Agholor would have changed the outcome. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Body Shop and the Black & Blue Attack. OK it was not the closest game although it did have a lead change and it also involved the current first place team. That is al well and good but the real reason this is GOW is because the Body Shop overcame a 94 point lead on Monday night. That has to be a record and they did it with 3 players. Zeke combined with Monday night stars (137.2 points) Mahomes, Hill and the RAMS allowed the Shop to sweep the Black & Blue, nab their 3rd helmet of the year and grab the top spot back from the Beans. The Attack was led by Jones, Ingram and Adams in the loss. The Attack had some ammo on the bench but even their best lineup would have just missed the mark. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
