![]() Well here we go again. Our 30th season is under way. 30 years is incredible, congrats to all SWFFL'ers old and new. We are quite fortunate to have a very stable league membership. I think that is what makes our league so special and enduring. Once again I would like to thanks the Beans for hosting the Draft. As always, everything was perfect on their end and I even remembered to bring the stickers this year 8-^). The transaction wire is once again as busy as ever. Primarily because of those post-draft transactions, we exceeded the space available for transactions, the extra transactions are below: The old web (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Bishops of Battle and Roxborough Wranglers will meet in Week 2 in search of that elusive first victory. In a family affair, the Good Fellas and Jelly Beans will try to keep the good vibes fir Week 1 going. In a battle of the old "Football Central" participants (and the 1st and 3nd place team last year), the defending Champion Dream Team will meet the Money Takers. The Body Shop will meet the Black & Blue Attack in a battle of teams at the top and bottom of the standings. Ina nother contest between teams trying to recover from Week 1 losses, the Young GUnz will take on the Fightin' Irish. Norm and Spock tied last year. They will renew their annual battle of wits next week. Spock's lines appear above, but they will not count in the 2018 Odds Maker battle. Once again, I did that analysis based on last year's points. It is 47 out of the 92 in picking Elite Teams. As always, this analysis is based on last year's performance in points per game. If you are depending on a rookie or a comeback player then ignore these results. If you aren't necessarily relying on either of these type players and you're on the bottom of the list, you might want to consider hitting the transaction wire hard. See the old website for details on what players made up your Best Lineup, and I've also included the CBS gurus analysis as well.

A Monday night double-header meant a lot of Monday Night Madness!! There were no games that were final on Sunday. In fact 3 were decide by less than 10 points. The Money Takers and a 57.5 point lead wer more than enough to hold off the Fightin' Irish, Cooper and Tate on Monday night. The Takers were led by the Saint Duo of Kamara and Thomas. The Irish were led by Rivers and Tate in the loss. The Body Shop, RAMS and a 21.2 pt. lead proved to be too much for the Young Gunz and Prater (who missed 15 pts. of FGs). The Shop was led by the CHIEF double-bubble of Mahomes and Hill. The Gunz were led by Luck, Barkley and Allen in the loss. The Defending Champion Dream Team, Woods and a 20 pt. lead were too much for the black & Blue Attack and Greg the Leg, although I was sweating a bit at the end. The Dream Team was led by Rodgers, Beckham and Sanders. The Attack was led by Mixon and Zeurlein in the loss. The Good Fellas 39.9 pt. lead going into Monday night was just barely enough to hold off the Bishops of Battle, Gurley and Robbie Anderson. In fact if Gurley or Anderson scored again, this is probably GOW. The Fellas were led by Brady, Ajai, Conner and Green. The Bishops were led by Wilson, Gurley and Gronk in the loss. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Jelly Beans and the Roxborough Wranglers. The Wranglers carried a 10.4 pt. lead into Monday night against the Jelly Beans and Cooks. Cooks did not get in the End Zone but put up just enough points to catapult the Beans to a come from behind victory. The Beans were led by Brees, Gordon and AB in the week 1 win. The Wranglers were led by Cousins and Evans in the loss. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
