![]() Week 9 finds 2 teams still with only 1 loss. I know we have probably had a single 1 loss team at this point, but I doubt we ever had 2 this late. Week 9 also found the transaction box overflowing - again. The overflow transactions are below:
The old website (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. I added the "CBS Guru" draft analysis to my analysis, and will compare both to the results at the end of the year. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Roxborough Wranglers will try to avenge their Week 1 loss to the Bishops of Battle. In a min super bowl, the 8-1 Money Takers will try to sweep the 8-1 Dream Team. In a family affair, the Jelly Beans will try to sweep the GoodFellas. In a battle between the other Money teams, the Young Gunz will try to sweep the Black & Blue Attack. The Body Shop will either sweep the Fightin' Irish or the Irish will score another helmet. Spock was 4 of 5 this week making him 20 of 35 (57%). He gains top billing. Norm was 1 of 5 this week making 20 of 35 (57%). His lines (my estimates) are below: BI -1 RW (221) BB -1 YG (235)DT -8 MT (242) BS -2 FI (232) GF -2 JB (228) Four games were over on Sunday. The other 1 was more or less over as well. The Fightin' Irish won their second in a row by beating Roxborough Wranglers. The Irish were led by Hopkins in a game where neither team reached triple digits. The Wranglers were led by Alex Smith in the loss. Despite the closeness of the game the Wranglers did not have enough bullets on the bench, most likely due to the big BYE week. The Black & Blue Attack had already sealed the victory against the Bishops of Battle and still had Jones and Prater going on Monday night, The Attack was led by Prescott and Karma in the victory as they held on to that last Money spot. The Bishops were led by Lee in the loss. |
The Money Takers remained at the top of the standings by beating the Young Gunz. The Takers were led by Cutler, Baldwin and Kelce as they captured their 3th W in a row. The Gunz were led by the Brees in the loss. A Goff or Drake start would have knocked the Takers out of that top spot. The Gunz have to figure out a way to convert that gaudy point total into Wins. We don't want a repeat of the Black & Blue issue of a few years back. The Dream Team finished off the GoodFellas on Sunday as they notched their 8th win in a row. They were led by Wilson and Cook as they kept pace with the Money Takers. The Fellas failed to start player with 20 points, and although they did have help on the bench, none of that help would have been ebough to snsp the Dream Team winning streak. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Body Shop and the Jelly Beans. OK - to be honest here were no really good GOW candidates, but at least this one had a miniscule chance for Monday night madness. And yes, there was a close game - but even that one involved a game where neither team cleared triple digits. I came very close to just skipping the GOW this week. The Beans, Stafford and Tate carried a 60.5 point lead into Monday night against the Shop, Jones and Nelson. The Beans easily held off the Shop and company on Monday night and scored their first helmet of the year. Facing the helmet is becoming the norm for the Shop who must have seriously disturbed the Fantasy Football Gods this year. The Beans were led by Stafford, Gurley and Jeffrey as they climbed into the bottom of a 3 way tie for third place. The Shop was led by Wentz and Jones in the loss. Actually aside from them 2 and Anderson the Shop starting lineup was pretty pathetic with only Jordy clearing 5 points. The Shop had some better options on the bench, but none that would have given them he helmet instead of facing it once again. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
