![]() Week 3 finds 3 undefeated and 2 winless teams. Also, I know with the transaction wire as hot as it has been it is hard, but if you are acquiring a player - please make sure they have not been rostered for 72 hours. Coby Fleener was dropped one day and picked up a day later. I did not notice until yesterday and apparently nobody was upset on missing out on Fleener, so I am not going to do anything about it. Pleasers try to avoid this in the future. When we get down to a few transactions a week it will be easier. The old website (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. I added the "CBS Guru" draft analysis to my analysis, and will compare both to the results at the end of the year. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Jelly Beans will try to keep that undefeated record by keeping the Roxborough Wranglers winless. The Money Takers will try to stay at the top of the standings by beating the Bishops of Battle. In a battle of teams just out of the money, the Dream Team will take on the Black & Blue Attack. In a battle of teams that have been ousted from the top spot, The Young Gunz take on The Body Shop. At the end of the contest between the Fightin' Irish and the Good Fellas, we will have one less winless team (barring a tie). Spock wad 4 of 5 (80%) in the first week of the competition and he gains top billing. Norm was 2 of 5 (40%). His lines (my estimates) are below: RW -1 JB (221) BS -1 YG (229)BI -2 MT (226) GF -2 FI (216) DT -8 BB (236) There were 2 games over on Sunday. The other 3 were pretty much over as well. The Money Takers led by Brady, Baldwin and A-Brown defeated the GoodFellas, kept their record unblemished and climbed to the top of the standings. The Fellas were led by Ryan and Hogan in the loss. A Murray and Sheppard start would have given the Fellas that first "W" and stopped all that good stuff for the Takers. The Young Gunz had already won the contest against the Fightin' Irish and still had Zeke and Larry Fitz in their back pocket. The only question was whether the old guy and young stud would get the Young Gunz the second helmet. Fitz, Cousins and Hunt led the Gunz to that second helmet and the highest scoring team slot (which means nothing). The Irish were led by Freeman and Nelson as they still search for their first "W". Even the best lineup for the Irish would have come up short. |
The Dream Team carried a 64.9 pt. lead into Monday night against the Roxborough Wranglers and Dez. Dez has been a great player but that is way too much to expect from him. The Dream Team was led by Hill, OBJ and Gronk as they remain just outside of the money at 2-1. The Wrangler were led by Hyde as they fell to 0-3 and now have a firm grip on that basement slot. The Black & Blue Attack and a 44.1 pt. were way too much for the Body Shop and Witten on Monday night. Again Witten has had a great career, but it would have taken a career night to make this one competitive. The Attack was led by Mariota, Cook, Green, Thomas and Prater led the Attack as they fell just short of the helmet. The Shop was led by Rodgers and Diggs as they suffered their first loss of the season. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Jelly Beans and the Bishops of Battle. The Beans carried a 19.5 pt. lead into Monday night against the Bishops and Bailey on Monday night. OK - really did not have any better options and a kicker can throw up a 20 easily. The Beans were led by Gurley as they kept their undefeated record in place. The Bishops were led by Duke Johnson and Cooks in the loss. A Winston and Hurns or Lee start would have left both teams at 2-1. OK, hopefully we will have better Game of the Week options in the future. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
