![]() Week 12 finds the top 2 team still separated by point differential. Those under the money line find themselves at least 4 games back with 5 games to go or worse. On the upside, all but 2 teams are within 2 games of a Money spot and the other 2 teams are only 3 games out. The commissioner's office would like to send out our prayers and condolences to those of you who were close to league friend Sugar Bear. I knew Bear enough to say hello when I saw him, but I know other SWFFLers were much closer. Bear was at the 2016 draft. His occasional pop-ins at the draft and settle-up parties will be missed. The old website (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. I added the "CBS Guru" draft analysis to my analysis, and will compare both to the results at the end of the year. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Jelly Beans will try to keep those money hopes alive by avenging their early season loss to the Roxborough Wranglers. The Money Takers will try to stay on top by sweeping the Bishops of Battle. The Dream Team will try to keep their trophy hopes alive by sweeping the Black & Blue Attack. In the only matchup of Money teams, the Young Gunz will try to sweep the Body Shop. The Fightin' Irish will try to get in the hint for the Money by sweeping the GoodFellas. Spock was 4 of 5 making him 28 of 50(56%). He retains top billing. Norm (my estimates) was 2 of 5 this week making him 28 of 50 (56%). His lines are below: JB -1 RW (223) BS -2 YG (229)BI -2 MT (228) GF -2 FI (220) DT -9 BB (237) Three games were technically over on Sunday. The other two were also more or less over on Sunday. The Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of the Bishops of Battle. Stafford, Mixon, Rudolph and Julio led the Beans to their second helmet of the year. The Bishops were led by Carr, Bell and Cooks in the loss. The Body Shop avenged their early season loss to the Black & Blue Attack and replaced them in that coveted final money spot. The Shop was led by Wentz, Allen and Temple co-alumni Robby Anderson. By Monday night, the Shop had their 3rd "W" in a row (hottest team) and were more interested in whether the RAVENs could give them the helmet. Only Kamara was the only Attack starter to score more than 20 points |
The Young Gunz and an 83 point lead were way too much fir the Fightin' Irish, Hopkins and Wallace on Monday night. The Gunz, led by Coleman Ertz and AB (2 weeks in a row > 40 points, so Brett is he still on the block), swept the Irish and kept the teams at the top in their sights. The Irish were led by Rivers in the loss. The Dream Team, Maclin and a 30.4 pt. lead held off the Roxborough Wranglers and the TEXANs on Monday night. The Dream Team was led by Wilson, the Gronk and Legatron as they kept pace with the Takers and completed the season sweep of the Wranglers. The Wranglers were led by Hauschka in the loss, and have now been the weekly low-scorers (anti-helmet) for 3 weeks in a row. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Money Takers and the Good Fellas. This was the closest game and even it was decided by more than 20 points. There was no Monday night madness anywhere to be found and even I think I can only push the Commissioner's privilege button so many times. So in short of the 5 games to choose from this one was the closest and involved the first place team. So there you have the decision making process. The Takers were led by Brady and Adams as they continue to win the King of the Hill game and swept the Fellas. The Fellas were led by Cousins and Sanu in the loss.
