NORM'S LINES (MY ESTIMATES) FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 10 finds only 1 team with 1 loss, and that team is a new team. And I can tell you, that new team hasn't been at the top of the standings this late in the season for quite a few years (at least I do not think so). For the first time all year the transaction wire was slow enough that we can get the estimated awards in.

The old website (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. I added the "CBS Guru" draft analysis to my analysis, and will compare both to the results at the end of the year.

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The Money Takers will try to get back in that top spot by completing the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers. The Dream team will try to hold on to that top spot by competing the season sweep of the Bishops of Battle. The Jelly beans will try to sweep the Young Gunz and maybe take their money spot as well. The Body Shop will try to keep the money line in sight by sweeping the GoodFellas. The Black & Blue Attack will try to keep their hold on third place by sweeping the Fightin' Irish.

Norm (my estimates) was 5 of 5 this week making him 25 of 40 (63%). He regains top billing. Spock was 1 of 5 this week making 21 of 40 (53%). His locks are below:

MT -17 RW (233)     BS -2 GF (246)
DT -29 BI (227)     BB -4 FI (240)
YG  -6 GF (246)

Two games were over on Sunday. The other 3 (at least a couple of them) had some Monday night madness.

The Body Shop completed the season sweep of the Fightin' Irish and kept their money hopes alive. The Shop was led by Robby Anderson and Robert Woods (ok - these guys weren't on anybody's draft list that is for sure). The Irish were led by old reliable Larry Fitz in the loss. A Crowell and Dalton start would have had the Irish in the W column this week.

The Good Fellas had a 11.4 point lead going into Monday night against the Good Fellas and they still Dickson in their back pocket. Ingram, Murray and Sheppard not only helped the Fellas avenge their Week 1 loss to the Beans, but also led them to their 2nd helmet of the year. The Beans were led by the LION stack (nah - I am still going to call it a double-bubble). The Beans best lineup would have given them a "W" and hopped them over the Money line.

The Black & Blue Attack carried a 43.9 point lead into Monday night against the Young Gunz and Funchess. Funchess had to be making the Attack sweat a bit, but in the end the Attack prevailed. Prescott, Kamara, Green and Thomas led the Attack as they jumped up to 3rd place. Goff and Funchess led the Giunz in the loss. A drake, JuJu or Graham start would have kept the Gunz in 3rd place and given them a sweep of the Attack.

The Bishops of Battle carried 48.9 point lead int Monday night against the Roxborough Wranglers and Cam. Cam made it real interesting, but Bishops barely survived and they completed the sweep of the Wranglers. In a low scoring affair, Cam's MVP performance was the only starting performance to clear the 20 point level. A Darkwa or Stewart start would have turned that Wrangler frown upside down (ok that was horrible).

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Body Shop. It was not the closest game but it was decided by less than 7 points and it involved two 8-1 teams. This was GIW even without Monday night madness. The Takers had squeaked out a 2 point lead in Week 1 (which was the only Dream Team loss of the year). They carried a 26.4 point lead into Monday night against the Dream Team, McCaffrey and Landry. Now I'd like say that I watched the Landry garbage time TD on the last offensive play by the Dolphins (or any rostered Panthers - so that is where Derek Anderson wound up) that put the Dream Team over the top on the top of the Standings. Truth is, I was sound asleep as the Dream Team ascended to first place. The Dream Team was led by Wilson as they avenged that week 1 loss and won their 9th in a row. The Takers were led by Brady, Adams and Thielen in the loss (only theirs second of the season). A Cobb start over Ginn would have changed the outcome and made for a much darker (and later) version of these Notes.
