The Young Gunz and Freeman overcame a 15.9 pt. lead against the Wranglers on Monday night. OK, I took until the 4th quarter, but after taking the lead, Freeman put some frosting on the cake with a big TD run. Freeman was the main reason the Gunz avenged their early loss to the Wranglers and all but locked up at least 3rd place. The Wranglers were led by Cam and Shady in the loss. |

The Bishops of Battle and a 47.6 point lead proved to be just a touch too much for the Good Fellas, Matty Ice, Evans and Hooper on Monday night. The Bishops were able to avenge their Week 6 loss to the Fellas in large part due to the performances of Carr and Bell. The Fellas were led by Ingram and Evans in the loss. A Manning or Sheppard start would have stopped the Fellas losing streak from reaching 5 and kept their hopes of escaping the basement realistic. |

In the only contest between money teams, the Money Takers completed the season sweep of the Body Shop. The Takers were led by Hunt and Goodwin as they kept pace with the front-running Dream Team. The Shop was led by Keenum in the loss and the Shop has lost 2 in a row and is in a tie (record-wise) with all those teams just outside the money. An Agholor start would have given the Shop breathing room and kept a 3rd place finish on the table. |

The Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack on Sunday and still has Julio and Bryant to come on Monday night. The Beans were led by an MVP performance by Gurley and had the Week 15 helmet. After a strong first half it looked like the helmet was in the bac, but the Beans. Julio disappeared in the 2nd half and even Bryant only manages 1 2nd half extra point leaving the Beans less than a point short of the helmet. The Attack was led by Thomas in the loss (which is their 5th in a row). Despite a 50 point margin of defeat, the Attack best lineup would have stopped that nasty losing streak. |

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and Fightin’ Irish. The Dream Team and a 14.7 pt. lead barely held off the Irish and Howard on Monday night. Going into Sunday night the Dream Team had a comfortable lead with Lynch vs. Crabtree and Howard. Lynch twice carried the ball to the 2 (once on a ling run) and bot time Crabtree followed with a 2 yd. TD reception. If either of those TDs go Lynch’s way Monday is no sweat. Even going into Monday night I figured if we kept Howard out of the end zone, we would be OK and he goes and scores a 30 yarder on his first catch in the first quarter, unfortunately for the Irish he was injured on the play and never returned. They do not ask how you win them; they just ask you how many you won. The Dream Team was led by McCaffrey, Hill and the Gronk. The Irish were led by Gordon, Crabtree and Matthews in the loss. The Irish could have mad the Takers happy with a LIONS start. |
