The Roxborough Wranglers and a 7.1 point lead looked to be pretty shaky against the Jelly Beans and Mixon on Monday night. Mixon (like many of the players last night had to be helped off the field and was out with a concussion. It is hard to imagine he would not have scored more than 2.2 points had he continued. The Wranglers were led by Newton as they swept the Beans. The Beans had quite a few paths to victory on the bench. |

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Money Takers and the Bishopa of Battle The Takers carried an 18.7 point lead against the Bishops and Bell on Monday night. The Takers were looking fairly safe after the first half. That all ended when 2 (not 1 but 2) Bengals defenders decided that they did not need to nudge Bell out of bounds as he tip-toed his way to a 35 yard TD in the 3td quarter. The Bishops, led by Bell, Lee and Engram avenged their early season loss and ousted the Takers from first place (2nd time in 3 weeks they knocked the first place team off and out of first place). The Takers were led by Kelce in the loss. The Takers had a few difference makers on the bench, one being Henry, that would have kept the Takers in first place. |

The Dream Team carried a 51.2 point lead against the Black & Blue Attack, AJ Green and the Steelers. I figured we had the helmet all wrapped up and all that was in question was whether the Bishops would help us back into first place. AJ Green cut 50 pt. lead by more than half at the half and I had to return my focus to my own game. A couple of advantageous flags in the second half wiped out a long Green TD and a STELLERS TD and the Dream Team survived, won the helmet, swept the Attack and jumped back into first place. To be honest, there were a lot of flags in that game, but those 2 did seem to be a little over the top. Apparently some referees like to get prime-time TV exposure. |

The Body Shop avenged their early season loss to the Young Gunz as their 65.4 point lead were way too much for JuJu on Monday night. The Shop was led by Collins and Allen as they fell just short of the weekly helmet. The Gunz were led by Drake in the loss. The Gunz best lineup would have fell short as well. The benching of AB may have been the Smart play at 1:00 on Sunday, but it did stop the Gunz from scoring 100+ points in every game this season. My guess is we will see the lineup deadline issue come up again this summer. |

The Fightin’ Irish carried a 15.3 pt. lead into Monday night against the GoodFellas and they still had Kroft in their back pocket. The Irish were led by Larry Fitz and Kearse as they completed the season sweep of the Fellas. The Fellas were led by Cousins and Murray in the loss. The Fellas best lineup would have still fallen short. |
