NORM'S LINES (My Estimates) FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Finally, finally the last winless team notched its first "W". All in all it was a good day for the underdogs as the Money Teams followed up and 0-4 week with a 2-2 week. Probably, due in large part to 6 NFL teams on a BYE there were several transactions again. That is not the only thing that heated up. We had another heated exchange on the bulletin board. I really hope this all just some good old fun trash-talkin' but I am slightly concerned.

The old website (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. I added the "CBS Guru" draft analysis to my analysis, and will compare both to the results at the end of the year.

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The Bishops of battle will try to get back in the Money mix by sweeping the red-hot Good Fellas. The also red-hot Jelly beans will try to trade-up their current money spot by completing the season sweep of the slumping Money Takers. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to keep their foot in the money doorway by avenging their week 1 loss to the Fightin' Irish. The Black & Blue Attack will try to hold on to that top spot by sweeping the Dream Team. In the only money team contest the Yong Gunz will try to climb back into first by completing the season sweep of the Bod Shop.

Norm was 4 of 5 making 16/35 (46%) for the year. He retains top billing. Spock was 2 of 5 making him 21/35 (63%) for the year. His Locks appear below:

GF -1 BI (255)     DT -9 BB (267)
MT -2 JB (258)     BS -1 YG (257)
FI -2 RW (256)

The Monday Night match-up produced 4 games with some degree of Monday Night Madness, the other game decided on Sunday night.

The Good Fellas took out the first place Young Gunz, fairly easy as they had a 16.2 point lead going into Monday night with their QB in their back pocket. The Gunz were led by Taylor, Gordon, Nelson and Brown. Brees led the Young Gunz starters as they have lost 2 in a row and dropped out of first. The Fellas have now won 3 straight.

The Black & Blue Attack and a 76.9 pt. lead proved to be way too much for the Money Takers and Hauschka on Monday night. The Attack was led by the BUCCANEER double-bubble as they ascended to the top of the standings. The Money Takers failed to field a 20 point starter and also failed to break triple-digits. They also have lost 3 in a row. There was some help on the bench but not enough to make a difference in the outcome.

The Jelly Beans and a 50 pt. lead were too much for the Fightin' Irish and Russell Wilson on Monday night. The Beans, largely due to performances by Murray and Jones, have now won 3 in a row and are climbing the standings quickly. The Irish were led by Wilson and Diggs in the loss. The Irish had home help on the bench, but not nearly enough to make a difference.

The Roxborough Wranglers, the SEAHAWKS and a 7.1 pt. lead were just enough to hold off the Body Shop and Michael on Monday night. Truth be told, this probably be game of the week, but I once again invoked Commissioner's Privilege. The Wranglers were led by Ryan, Forte, Robinson and Thomas. The Shop was led by Prescott, Elliot and Ajayi in the loss. A Witten (COWBOY) start over Michael (and others) would have kept the Shop in a tie for first place. With Prescott and Elliot already in there Coach Casey had to be worried about overdosing on the Cowpokes.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Bishops of Battle. The Dream Team, Graham and a 12.2 pt. lead proved to be just barely too much for the Bishops, Shady McCoy, Baldwin and the BILLS. The Dream Team was led by Rodgers and Graham in this their first victory. The victory means the Dream Team (now 1-8) can claim on season series win (1-0 vs. Bishops). Granted even if they run the table they can at best split the rest of the season series. The Bishops were led Kaepernick and Beckham in the loss. A golden Tate start over Booker would have kept the Dream Team winless. So was this a case of Kaepernick karma outweighing the Young Gunz trade voo-doo. I don't know, but I will take it any way I can get it. You know what would be more impressive than going form 0-6 and making the Money, going 0-8 and still making the Money. Hey you have to have goals.
