Well we did it again, the transaction box proved too small again. Also, when did the SWFFL become Trader Joes. Lamar Miller went from the Young Gunz to the Wranglers to the Black & Blue.

Ok - so the 6-1 crowd are fighting for the top 3 spots The 4th place team is as close to 7th place as they are to 3rd place. Oh and by the way the Dream Team is still looking for a "W".

The old website (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. I added the "CBS Guru" draft analysis to my analysis, and will compare both to the results at the end of the year.

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The Body Shop will try to keep pace with the others in the top trio by beating the Good Fellas. The Money Takers and Roxborough Wranglers match up in what could be a battle for that 4th place spot. The Black & Blue Attack will also try to keep pace with the top teams by beating the Jelly Beans. The Fightin' Irish will become the 8th team to avoid losing to the Dream Team. The Young Gunz will try to keep first place by beating the Bishops of Battle, with the 50th incarnation of their team.

Spock was 5 of 5 making him 18/25 (72%) for the year. He retains top billing. Norm was 1 of 5 making 8/25 (32%) for the year. Hs Lines (my estimates) appear below:

GF -1 BS (253)     DT -8 FI (264)
RW -1 MT (256)     BB -1 YG (257)
JB -2 BB (254)

The Monday Night matchup produced 2 games with some Monday Night Madness, and 3 games were decided on Sunday night.

The Body Shop kept pace with the 1 loss crew by defeating the Bishops of Battle. The Shop was led by Montgomery and Ajayi in the win against a Bishops of Battle team that clearly missed the early morning wake-up call (hey NFL keep the London games in the pre-season) and did not clear 75 points for the week.

The Jelly Beans wrapped up their victory on Sunday against the Roxborough Wranglers, but still had CJ Anderson and Sanders in their back pocket. Thanks to nice games by Julio and the COLT double bubble the Beans were able to capture their second helmet of the year. Only Crabtree breached the 20 point barrier for the Wranglers. Despite the 63.6 point victory, the Wranglers best lineup would have won.

The Black & Blue Attack also won early but had some cake icing coming on Monday night in their victory against the Fightin' Irish. The Attack was led by Doyle and The BUCCANEER double-bubble as they also kept pace with the 1 loss crew. Irish were led by Brady and Gronk in the loss. An Adams and Crowder start would have given the Irish the big "W".

OK - I really could not deny the Taker-Gunz game the GOW but I almost did. The Good Fellas went into Monday night with a 10.6 point lead against the Dream Team and McManus. For some reason the TEXAN defense allowed the BRONCOS to run the ball enough to make a first down on that last drive (and everybody knew they were running it) and instead of a 5 point FG the Dream Team got a 3 point FG and a lost by 1.6 points. The Fellas were led by Dalton, Ware and the EAGLES in their 2nd "W". The Dream Team was led by the PACKER double-bubble on Thursday night. A Jennings over Jackson start would have had the Dream Team celebrating that first win.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Young Gunz and the Money Takers. The Takers and a 17 point lead were not enough to hold off the Young Gunz, Thomas and BRONCOS. The Monday night players put up 21, along with nice performances by Brees, Johnson and AJ, kept the Young Gunz at the top of the standings. The Takers were led by Austen, Walker and SeaBass in the loss. A LaFell or Rudolph start over Hurns or Pryor would have toppled the Gunz and dropped them out of that top spot. BTW, Gunz do you have to have weekly get acquainted with your new teammate meetings. Oh well winning 76 games with 6 different lineups is better than losing 7 with pretty much the same lineup.
