![]() Week 4 finds no undefeated teams and only 1 team still searching for the elusive first win. Week 4 also finds the Commissioner in a fantasy funk. First and foremost, I am a co-owner of that team that is still winless, also, lost in all but 1 of my leagues this week (1-4 this week). I also lost in the final week of 2 baseball leagues (1 in championship game and the other where we had a slim chance of jumping into the money). And to top it off, I was once again, eliminated in the Casey Survivor pool way too early. I don't even save studs in that pool anymore, because so far I never get far enough to use any saved studs. All this points to a dark version of the notes, and probably some commissioner whining, so be prepared - I warned you, By the way, we had our first trade of the year and apparently the Young Gunz are still searching for a TE. The old website (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. I added the "CBS Guru" draft analysis to my analysis, and will compare both to the results at the end of the year. Key Matchups to watch this Week In a battle of 1-3 teams, the Good Fellas will take on the Fightin' Irish. The Back & Blue Attack will try to stay in first palce by beating the Bishops of Battle. The Money Takers will also try to stay in first place by holding off a very angry Dream Team. The Body Shop (another first place team) will try to keep up with the Joneses by beating the Jelly Beans. The Young Gunz (in first place-actually at top of standings) will try to remain there by pushing the Roxborough Wranglers back under the .500 line. Spock was 3 of 5 making him 5/10 (50%) for the year. He gains top billing. Norm was 2 of 5 making 6/10 (60%) for the year. Hs Lines (my estimates) appear below: GF -1 FI (249) JB -2 BS (253)BI -2 BB (254) RW -1 YG (249) DT -9 MT (267) The Monday Night matchup had some Monday Night Madness as only two games was decided on Sunday night. In a family affair the Jelly Beans made short work of a short-handed Dream Team. The Beans were led by Luck, Sanders and MVP performance by Julio. The most amazing part of Julio's performance is that he put up 300 yards receiving but only scored 1 TD (although it was a 75 yard TD). The BYE week (on top of the Peterson IR) left the Dream Team deciding which 2 TEs did they have to play. Ont op all that bad news , the DT head office fund out that ("Flash" Gordon) one part of the Dream Team "finish strong" strategy found his way back to rehab again. Well on the bright side, Bell (the only starter over 20 pts,) did look every bit as good as advertised, although DeAngelo vultured the only rushing TD Big Bean was willing to allow on Redemption Sunday. The Dream Team managed to choose the wrong TEs, but it would not have mattered. The Dream Team may be looking for its on "Redemption Sunday" in Week 5. I warned you, back to normal now. |
The Roxborough Wranglers eked out a win over the Good Fellas. The Wranglers were led by Cousins and Crabtree as they climbed back to .500. The Fellas were led by Gordon, Brown and the old man Steve Smith. Despite the small margin the Fellas played nearly a perfect lineup and could not have won. The Body Shop and a 38.2 point lead proved to be too much for the Black & Blue Attack and Sheppard on Monday night. The Shop was led by Elliot, Fuller and Reed in the "W" that has them in a tie for first place. The Attack was led by Rivers (nice trade), Murray and Olsen in the loss. There were some points left on the bench for the Attack, but not enough to make a difference. The Young Gunz and an 88.2 point lead were way, way too much for the Fightin' Irish, Diggs and Walsh on Monday night. The Gunz "Redemption Sunday"ed their way to their first helmet and the top of the Standings as Big Ben fell just short of beating out Julio for MVP. The Gunz also got nice performances out of Green and Thomas. The Irish failed to field any 20 point starters, The weird thing is the 54.1 point performance by Matty Ice that sat on the bench would not have changed the result for the Irish. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Money Takers and the Bishops of Battle. The Takers, Rudolph and the VIKING just barely overcame the Bishops, Beckham and a 10.6 pt. lead. The good news for the Bishops, the VIKINGS defense came back to Earth. The bad news was Bradford seems to like Rudolph the "RedZoned" Tight End and more bad news was that Odell caught an early Unsportsman-like penalty and played like a power forward with 5 fouls for the rest of the night. The Takers were led by a balanced attack as no one starter put up more than 20 in the win tah has them in a 4 way tie for first place. Bortles put up a 30 point performance for the Bishops in the loss. They had several options on the bench that would have made a difference. A Miler start over Pitta would have had the Bishops over the Money Line instead of the Takers. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
