SPOCK'S LOCKS FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Well the Championship has been decided, barring a miraculous number of points scored by the Black & Blue Attack. The Young Gunz will win their 3rd Championship (all with in last 5 years). Seven (perhaps even 8) teams are still alive for a Money Spot. There is also the matter of the final week consolations prize. THIS JUST IN, despite winning the Championship the Young Gunz will still have to bring some cash to the settle-up party to pay for their ridiculous number of transactions (only kidding). I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and I hope you also have a happy New Year. Maybe I will have a date for settle-up party, but for now assume it will be Sunday after Super Bowl Sunday (February 12th). Taht might be too close to Valentine's day, so we may have to move it back another week.

The old website (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. I added the "CBS Guru" draft analysis to my analysis, and will compare both to the results at the end of the year.

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The Body Shop will try to earn a split with the Good Fellas and hang on to one of those dangling Money Spots. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to sweep the Money Takers and get their hands on one of those final money spots. The Black & Blue Attack will try to hold on to 2nd place by avenging an early season loss to the Jelly Beans. In A game that matters little, the Fightin' Irish will try to sweep the Dream Team. The Young Gunz will take their victory alp by trying to avenge an early season loss to the Bishops of Battle.

Spock was 3 for 5 making him 34/70 (49%) for the year. He retains top billing. Norm was 0 for 5 making him 35/70 (50%). His lines (My estimates) appear below:

GF -2 BS (256)     DT -9 FI (269)
MT -1 RW (253)     BI -1 YG (255)
JB -2 BB (258)

The Monday Night match-up produced 3 games with some Monday Night Madness, the other 2 games were decided on Sunday night.

The Roxborough Wranglers kept their Money hopes alive by avenging their early season loss to the Jelly Beans. The Wranglers have won 3 in a row and are the hottest team chasing those last 2 money spots. The Wranglers were led by Matty Ice and Kelce in the win,. The Beans were led by Luck in the loss that has taken them out of the Championship running.

The Black & Blue Attack completed the season sweep of the Fightin' Irish. The Attack is also out of the running for the Championship but have the easiest path to 2nd place, thanks in large part to Carr, Evans and Bryant. Only Brady managed to clear the 20 pt. barrier for the Irish. A Wilson, Ajayi and Benjamin (or White) start would have made the Black & Blue Attack's path to 2nd a bit more uphill.

The Body Shop, Stafford, Elliot and a 13.1 pt. lead were too much for the Bishops of Battle and Golden Tate on Monday night. The Shop scored their first helmet of the year, swept the Bishops and tightened their grip on a Money spot because of performances by Elliot, Hill, Gates and an MVP performance by Thielin. The Bishops were led by Baldwin and Beckham on the loss that leaves them on the edge of elimination. The Bishops had some help on the bench but not nearly enough to change the outcome.

The Young Gunz, Ebron, Bailey and a 25.1 pt. lead were too much for the Money Takers and Dez on Monday night. Based largely on the performance of Big Ben, D-Johnson and Shady McCoy the Young Gunz wrapped up their 3rd Championship and swept the Money Takers. Only Dez managed clear 20 pts. for the Takers. The Takers best lineup would have caused a tie, now imagine how much that would have effected week 17.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Good Fellas and the Dream Team (call it Commissioner Privilege. It was the closest game and lets face it, Prater has put up a 13 several times during the year. He did not on Monday so the Fellas swept the Dream Team and kept their Money hopes alive. The Dream Team is hoping to escape the basement at this point. The Fellas were led by Taylor, Brown and Nelson in the "W". The Dream Team was led by Rodgers and Bell in the loss. Despite the close margin, the Dream Team did not have enough on the bench to make a difference.
