![]() What an upset week, every team that won, had a lower record than the team they were playing had going in to the week. Every team is within 2 game of 3rd place, with 8 teams tied for 3rd or higher. Another slew of transactions, including 2 for 1 and 3 for 2 trades and "this team is paying the extra 10" trades. You would think that the lack of BYES would have had the wire cool off but not with Trader Brett in the league. Hard to argue with it, every week his team seems to look like a true "Dream Team". Speaking of Dream Teams . . . shh . . The Dream Team is silently sneaking up on you all. The old website (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. I added the "CBS Guru" draft analysis to my analysis, and will compare both to the results at the end of the year. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Good Fellas will try to keep their very slim hold on to 3rd place by avenging their early season loss to the Roxborough Wranglers. The Money Takers will try to keep up with the 6-6 crew by sweeping the Bishops of Battle. Ina family affair, the Jelly Beans will also like to keep pace with the other 6-6ers by sweeping the resurgent Dream Team. The Black & Blue Attack would like to continue their lite flip-flop at the top game with the Young Gunz by getting a season split with Body Shop. The Young Gunz will try to end that whole flip-flop thing by sweeping the Fightin' Irish. Norm was 5 of 5 making 27/50 (54%) for the year. He retains top billing. Spock was 0 of 5 making him 25/50 (50%) for the year. His Locks appear below: GF -10 RW (256) BB -8 BS (250)MT -1 BI (249) YG -14 FI (266) JB -9 DT (255) The Monday Night match-up produced 4 games with some Monday Night Madness, the other 3 games were decided on Sunday night. The Good Fellas, Matthews, Nelson, the EAGLES and 50.2 pt. lead proved to be too much for the Jelly Beans, Wentz, Ertz and the PACKERS on Monday night. Taylor and Brown led the Good Fellas as they completed the season sweep of this family series. Only Justin Tucker cleared the 20 point barrier for the Jelly Beans starters. Starting Murray, Dixon, Hill and Sanders would have had the Beans in 3rd place all by themselves. The Bishops of Battle and 20.3 pt. lead held off the Roxborough Wranglers and Mason Crosby on Monday night. The Bishops avenged their early season loss to the Wranglers and notched their 2nd helmet of the year mainly due to very nice performances by Brees and Beckham. The Wranglers were led by Matty Ice and Thomas in the loss. The Wranglers left a lot of nice performance on the bench. An Ingram start over Forte was probably the simplest path to a "W" for the Wranglers, but it was not the only one, while the Bishops pretty much nailed their best possible lineup. |
The Fightin' Irish, Adams and Sturgis overcame a 27 pt. lead by the Money Takers on Monday night. The Irish were led by Brady and Adams as they won their 3rd in a row and split the season with the Takers. I took the Gronk 0 in another league as well Bone, I feel your pain. The Takers wasted a nice performance by Cam in the loss. The Takers have 3rd place all alone with best lineup. The Dream Team split the season series with the Body Shop as Rodgers and Cobb overcame a 22.9 pt. lead by the Shop and Cook on Monday night. The Dream Team was led by Rodgers and Bell as they won their 4th game in arrow. The Shop was led by Prescott and Elliot in the loss. Their best lineup would have won, but included Tyreek instead of Witten. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Young Gunz and Black and Blue Attack. For the last 3 or 4 weeks these 2 have been trading the 1st and 2nd place spots like . . . well, like Trader Brett. This week it continued as the Young Gunz were led by Bug Ben, McCoy, Johnson and Williams and the GIANTS as they split the season series with the Attack and once again replaced them at the top of the standings. The Attack was led by Carr and Evans in the loss that flip flopped them back into 2nd place. Unlike a lot of other games, the Attack did not have enough ammo on the bench to change the outcome. BTW, this game had no Monday night players and it was really hard not to make the Dream Team-Body Shop game the game of the week. However, you only get so many games that are true battles for 1st place this late in the season. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
