![]() Shhhh . . . two in a row . . . the Dream Team is on a small roll. The Bye weeks, injuries and frankly ac ou0ple of teams that just plain can't stand pat with their winning teams have lit up the transaction wire again. I double checked transactions this week (making sure my transaction lists matched sports line) and somehow I missed one of the Young Gunz many transaction in week 7. So as of week 10, sports line and I are in harmony with the finances. I also have all the helmets up to date. The old website (http://swffl.50megs.com) has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive. Send any ideas to me and I will see what I can do. I added the "CBS Guru" draft analysis to my analysis, and will compare both to the results at the end of the year. Key Matchups to watch this Week The red hot Good Fellas will try to keep it going by avenging their week 2 loss to the Money Takers. The Jelly Beans will try to get back into the Money by avenging their earlier 0.2 pt. loss to the Bishops of Battle. The Black & Blue will try to keep up with or pass the Young Gunz by sweeping the Roxborough Wranglers. The Body Shop will try to keep first place in view by completing the season sweep of the Figthin' Irish. The Young Gunz will try to remain the king of the hill, by sweeping the suddenly resurgent Dream Team. Norm was 4 of 5 making 20/40 (50%) for the year. He retains top billing. Spock was 2 of 5 making him 23/40 (58%) for the year. His Locks appear below: GF -8 MT (252) BB -9 FI (257)JB -8 BI (248) BS -20 DT (270) BB -14 RW (254) The Monday Night match-up produced 4 games with some degree of Monday Night Madness, the other game decided on Sunday night. The Fightin' Irish completed the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers due to strong performances by Adams and Diggs (and in spite of pedestrian performances by Brady and Gronk). The Wranglers were led by Matty Ice and Robinson in the loss. A Blount start would have had the Wranglers in a Money spot instead of the Good Fellas. The Good Fellas, Dalton, Eifert and a 9.2 were able to hold off Bishops of Battle and Beckham. Beckham scored about the same as Dalton and Eifert combined. The Good Fellas went to 4th place and their 4th "W" in a row in large part due to nice performances by Brown and Nelson. The Bishops were led by Palmer, Baldwin and Beckham in the loss. The Bishops pretty much played their best lineup and there was very little help on the bench. |
The Money Takers, LaFell and 30.6 pt. lead proved to be too much for the Jelly Beans and Hill on Monday night. The Takers were led by Cam, Dez and Delanie (it is a unique first name) as they snapped a 4 game losing streak and swept the Beans. The Beans were led by Cook and Jones in the loss. The Beans also played pretty much their best lineup, so there were no bullets on the bench that could have kept them above the Money Line. The Dream Team avenged their early season loss to the Black & Blue Attack as Manning and Sheppard could not over com a 54.7 pt. lead on Monday night, but hey sure did come close, well closer than I expected and close enough where I had to stay up and watch the whole game on Monday night. The Dream Team was led by Rodgers, Bell, Snead and Larry Fitz as they notched their second "W" in a row and nocked the Attack out of first place. The Attack was led by Manning and Murray in the loss (I almost stopped following the game after that 20 pt. TD by Murray). And also, like many of the losers this week, the Attack pretty much played their best lineup so there was no keep them in first place help om the bench. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Young Gunz and the Body Shop. OK, I came real close to invoking Commissioner Privilege again, but this game was the only Money Team Game and also included two of the highest scores for the week, so I just couldn't do it. The Gunz and AJ Green easily overcame a 7.2 pt. Body Shop Lead on Monday night. The Gunz were led by Big Ben, Johnson, Thomas and Williams as they grabbed their 3rd helmet and jumped back into first place. The Shop was led by Prescott and an MVP performance by Elliot (OK - I admit it, I thought he was overrated, but apparently he was not). A Witten and Britt start would have kept the Shop from losing its 3rd in a row. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
