![]() Week 3 finds only 1 undefeated team and every team has at least one "W". The transaction wire has been matching last year's incredible pace. In a housekeeping matter, I would like to apologize to the Good Fellas for inaccurately claiming that Mike Evans was inactive in Week 2. He was not inactive, just did not have a catch. I honestly thought I heard he was inactive on pregame show. So Good Fellas, I am sorry. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2015 Draft analysis and an updated Draft-Slot analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Good Fellas will defend their newly acquired Money spot against the Body Shop who finds themselves out of the Money for the first time. The Bishops of Battle fresh off their first Helmet and their initial entry into the Money, will try to keep it that way against the Young Gunz. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to keep the top spot and their undefeated record against the Jelly Beans. In a battle of former partners, the Money Takers will take on the Black & Blue Attack. The Dream Team will try to keep pace with the Wranglers by defeating the Fightin' Irish. Norm was 4/5 (80%) in the first week of the annual Battle of the Oddsmakers. His Lines (estimated by me) appear above. Spock was 2/5 (40%). His Locks appear below: GF -25 BS (253) MT -4 BB (266)BI -26 YG (238) DT -14 FI (268) RW -38 JB (256) Three games had a little (very little) Monday Night Madness. The other 2 were over on Sunday. The Good Fellas carried 57.5 point lead into Monday night with the CHIEFS in their back pocket against the Jelly Beans on Monday night. The Fellas were led by Newton, Murray, Brown and an MVP performance by Green. The Beans were led by Ryan and Marshall in the loss. The Beans had another 30 points potentially on the bench, bit that 30 points would not have changed the outcome. The Bishops of Battle put a good old-fashioned whipping on the Body Shop. The Body Shop may need time in the "Body Shop" after that loss, and it looks like GM Casey hit the free-agency pool hard after the loss. Maybe it was the Bishops who had the mole in the opponent's HQ (Pirate Parrot? Ties with GM Toast?). The Bishops was led by Luck, Randle, Olsen and the Cardinals in the victory that gave them a Helmet and a Money Spot. The Shop was led by Wright in the loss and the whole Shop roster would have still lost. |
The Fightin' Irish carried an 88.5 point lead into Monday night against the Black & Blue Attack and Cobb on Monday night. Cobb had a tremendous game but was more than half-way short. The Irish were led by Peyton, Julio, Demaryius and Steve Smith Sr. Only Cobb cleared 20 points for the Black & Blue Attack. The Attack could have changed the out come with a perfect starting lineup, but that would have involved benching Big Ben. The Roxborough Wrangles, Charles and Kelce easily overcame a 2.9 point lead against the Money Takers on Monday night. The Wranglers remained undefeated largely due to nice performances by Flacco, Charles and Allen. The Takers were led by Beckham, Hopkins and Graham in the loss. The Takers had little help on the bench. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Young Gunz. The Dream Team and Rodgers went into Monday night with a 30.2 point lead against the Gunz and Maclin on Monday night. OK this was a close second for the closest game. No game was decided by less than 40 points, there was some Monday nigh action for both teams and then there is Commissioner's Privilege. The Dream Team was led by Rodgers, Peterson and Fitzgerald (lovin' Carson's return). The Gunz were led by Brady, Bell, Gore and Maclin in the loss. Ground Gunz (I did not think I would see 3 RB lineups since we went to PPR) had some points on the bench, but not much. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
