![]() Wow - what a difference a few weeks makes. Back then it looked like the title was all wrapped up and all the fighting was or second. Now we have a 5 way tie for first place. In fact, except for 4 teams, everyone is till in the hunt. On a more personal note, the Commissioner's office would like extend a very Merry Christmas to all SWFFL'ers. Unfortunately the NFL is going to try to sneak one Week 16 game in before Santa makes his visit and another Saturday night game the day after. So make sure you take care of your early players before enjoying Family and Friends for the holiday. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2015 Draft analysis, and the updated draft slot analysis. Send me ideas and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week In a battle of 9-6 teams, the Roxborough Wranglers will try to sweep the Good Fellas. In another battle of 9-6 teams, the Bishops of Battle will try to sweep the Money Takers. The Body Shop will try to continue being the spoiler by sweeping the Jelly Beans. The Black & Blue Attack needs to make up a game on the pack by sweeping the Dream Team. The Young Guz will need a lot of help, but they have to start by sweeping the Fightin' Irish. Norm was 3 of 5 last week making him 36/65 (55%) on the year. He retains top billing this week. Spock was 1 of 5 last week making him 31/65 (48%) on the year. His Locks appear below: RW -4 GF (256) BB -10 DT (260)BI -7 MT (253) YG -5 FI (245) JB -11 BS (257) Four games had some Monday Night Madness to some degree. The other one was over on Sunday. The Good Fellas avenged their early season loss tot he Black & Blue Attack, scored their third helmet of the season and jumped up into the logjam at 9-6. The Fellas were led by an MVP performance from Newton, Brown, Evans and the CHIEFS. The Black and Blue Attack were led by Big Ben and Ginn in the loss that leaves them a game behind the 9-6 bunch. |
The Money Takers completed the season sweep of the Young Gunz as Ben Watson easily overcame a 3.5 point lead on Monday night. The Takers were led by the SEAHAWK double-bubble. Is it just me or has the absence of Beast-mode in Seattle turned Russell Wilson into Joe Montana and Baldwin into Jerry Rice. The Gunz were led by Brady and Sanders (I remember him) in the loss. A Matthews start would have had the Gunz a game out of that big first place logjam. The Body Shop avenged their early season loss to the Roxborough Wranglers as Snead and a 60.7 point lead proved to be too much for the Wranglers, Hightower and Megatron. The Shop was led by Taylor, West and Cooper as they played the spoiler role. The Wranglers failed to field a 20 point starter as they dropped their 3rd game in a row and dropped out of first place for the first time in a long time. They left some points on the bench but not enough that it would have kept them in first place. The Bishops of Battle completed the seasons weep of the Dream Team as the Bishops, Cooks and a 3.9 point lead were just barely too much for the Dream Team and Tate on Monday night. The Bishops were led by Bortles, Cooks, Olson and Reed as they joined the crowd at 9-6. The Dream Team was led by Jones, Tate, Watkins and Ertz in their 10th loss in a row. So we score over 140 and lose, situation normal for the 2015 version of the Dream Team. A Winston start would have snapped the streak. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Fightin' Irish and Jelly Beans. The Fightin' Irish completed the season sweep of the Jelly Beans and finally climbed out of the basement as the Beans and Stafford failed to erase a 34.8 point lead on Monday night. The Irish were led by Eli, D-Jax, Julio and Demaryius. Stafford and Johnson led the Beans in the loss. Despite the loss, the Beans jumped into first place by outscoring the Wranglers. A Maclan or Bailey start would have had the Beans in first all by themselves. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
