![]() Week 13 was one of the most active weeks on the waiver wire. Not only that we had two trades this week. I think we have had many seasons where there were not 2 trades all year. And the real surprising thing is this week the "Big Trader" was the Black & Blue Attack. So did Mike go rogue or did he just twist Eddie's arm real hard. Also the Wranglers dropped another giving many teams (not mine) some hope. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2015 Draft analysis, and the updated draft slot analysis. Send me ideas and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week In a family affair, the Good Fellas will try to improve their Money Spot by avenging their early season loss to the Dream Team. The Black & Blue will try to keep pace with those at the top by sweeping the Bishops of Battle. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to get back on track by avenging their early season loss to the Young Gunz. The Jelly Beans will try coming off their big win this week, will try to avenge their early season loss to the Money Takers. The Body Shop, at this point, probably has to run the table to have a chance at a Money Spot and they start this week by trying to sweep the Fightin' Irish. Spock was 2 of 5 last week making him 29/55 (53%) on the year. He retains top billing this week. Norm was 2 of 5 last week making him 29/55 (53%) on the year. His Lines (Actually My Estimates) appear below: DT -8 GF (268) MT -1 JB (253)BI -1 BB (251) FI -2 BS (248) YG -2 RW (254) Three games had some Monday Night Madness. The other 2 were over on Sunday. The Black & Blue Attack avenged their early season loss to the Money Takers in a week where they were trading like the Young Gunz. The Attack was led by the STEELER double-bubble as they notched their 3rd "W" in a row. The Takers were led by Beckham and Baldwin as they fell out of the Money. A Mariota or Wilson start over Tannehill would have kept the Takers in the Money. |
The Good Fellas avenged their early season loss to the Body Shop as McFadden was not able to overcome a 96.9 point lead on Monday night. The Fellas were led by Newton, Brown and Green as they notched their second helmet of the year. The Shop was led by Carr in their 3rd loss in a row. The Shop had little or no help on the bench either. The Bishops of Battle, Reed and 16.4 point lead proved to be just a bit too much for the Young Gunz, Bryant and the COWBOYS on Monday night. The Bishops were led by Fitzpatrick, Cooks and Olsen as they avenged their early season loss to the Gunz. The Gunz were led by Brady in the loss. The 8.5 point loss could have been prevented by many combinations of bullets on the bench for the Gunz. So dos the Bishops (Toast) win give him the victory in the battle for the "Grim Reaper" logo. I think this matter still goes to litigation. Fire up your lawyers. The Figthin' Irish avenged their early season loss to the Dream Team as DeSean overcame a 7.7 point lead on Monday night. DeSean teased the Dreamers by waiting until the last play of the 3rd quarter and he capped it off with a last minute TD. This would be Game of the Week mainly because of Commissioner bias, however it was a game between the bottom 2 teams and the schedule maker had already named the Game of the week. The Irish were led by Manning and DeSean in their 3rd "W" of the year. The Dream Team was led by Rodgers in their 8th (yes 8th) loss in a row and that late TD meant no Dream Team lineup would have won (not even one with Peterson and Sanders). The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Jelly Beans and Roxborough Wranglers. This was made Game of the Week last week when the schedule arrived. The top two teams met on the virtual field and the surging Beans took home the victory. The Beans have now won 6 in a row. The Wranglers have lost 2 in that stretch and now they are both tied for the top. The Beans (dare I dust-off the "Almighty Beans" moniker) were led by Stafford, Marshall and Robinson in the season sweep of the Wranglers. The Wranglers were led by Palmer in the loss. A Buck Allen start would have given the Wranglers an almost insurmountable lead (2 games and points with 4 games to go) in the standings. Instead, we may have a race for the trophy.
