SPOCK'S LOCKS FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 12 marked the end of the Bye weeks and the beginning of the stretch run. Currently, the Wranglers are still flying high. There are still a few teams within striking distance and all but 3 teams are within a game of the Money spot. Also just a reminder, the trade deadline is the lineup deadline for Week 14.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2015 Draft analysis, and the updated draft slot analysis. Send me ideas and I will see what I can do.

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The Body Shop will try to sweep the Good Fellas and start making the climb back into the Money. The Young Gunz will try to sweep the season series with the Bishops of Battle in a contest between .500 teams. The Jelly Beans will try to sweep the Roxborough Wranglers and maybe challenge them for that top spot. In another battle of Money teams (and ex-partners) the Black & Blue Attack will try to avenge their early season loss to the Money Takers. On the other end of the standings the Dream Team will try to sweep the season series with the Fightin' Irish.

Spock was 3 of 5 last week making him 22/45 (48%) on the year. He retains top billing this week. Norm was 2 of 5 last week making him 26/45 (58%) on the year. His Lines (Actually My Estimates) appear below:

BS -1 GF (253)     MT -1 BB (250)
BI -1 YG (249)     DT -9 FI (265)
JB -2 RW (254)

Two games had some Monday Night Madness. The other 3 were over on Sunday.

The Jelly Beans avenged their early season loss to the Good Fellas. Landry and Marshall led the Beans to the win in this family affair that also allowed the Beans to stay just behind the Wranglers and win their4th in a row. The Fellas were led by Green in the loss that dropped them to .500. The Fellas had some bullets on the bench, but none that would have affected the outcome.

The Young Gunz avenged their early season loss to the Dream Team and notched their 2nd helmet of the season. The Gunz were led by Brady, Ivory and a MVP performance by former Dream Teamer AD (as in All Day) Peterson. Watkins and Gano led the Dream Team in their 7th straight loss. It is amazing how a team can win 4 in a row (including their only sub-100 game) and then reel off 7 straight losses. I suppose the 1677 points we faced does in fact play a big role (despite what others may say - all in one or 2 games). I still favor head-to-head competition.

The Roxborough Wranglers stretched their current wining streak to 3 as they completed the season sweep of the money Takers. Only Megatron cleared 20 points (Palmer if you allow for rounding) as the Wranglers continued to dominate the standings. The Only Beckham (last year's catch was clearly better on many levels) cleared the 20 point barrier for the Takers. A SEAHAWK double-bubble start would have toppled the Wranglers. As I stated last week in the notes, many times these "if so and so started" are reaches. Wilson and Baldwin certainly fall into this category.

The Black & Blue Attack avenged their early season loss to the Fightin' Irish as Gilmore could not overcome a 15.9 point lead on Monday night. The Attack was led by Big Ben, Williams, Bryant and Gates as they held fast to their Money Spot. The Irish was led by Manning, Jackson and the PANTHERS as they now have dropped 4 in a row.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Bishops of Battle and the Body Shop. The Bishops, and Benjamin easily overcame 9.9 point lead on Monday night and swept the Body Shop. The Bishops were led by Bortles, Hilton and Benjamin as they climbed back to .500. The Shop was led by Carr, Johnson and Gronk in the loss. A CJ Anderson would have the Shop at .500 instead of the Bishops. So was this the result of the ghost of the Pirate Parrot?? Perhaps some of that inside intel was still in play. Or maybe the Bishops just have the Shop's number.
