![]() Week 10 finds the Wranglers back in the winning track and still in firm control of the top spot in the standings. I did my mid-season comparison of my local data and CBS data. CBS sometimes does some stats corrections that come after I download the weekly stats. This year it only affected 3 team totals and none by more than 1 point. I did miss 3 transactions in my database. They have been added and as of today CBS and my data are in complete harmony. I will check more often as we approach the end of the season. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2015 Draft analysis, and the updated draft slot analysis. Send me ideas and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week In a battle of 500 teams in the under 40 club, the Young Gunz will try to complete the season sweep of the Good Fellas. The Jelly Beans will try to avenge their early season squeaker of a loss to the Bishops of Battle. In another battle of .500 teams, the Black & Blue Attack will try to sweep the Body Shop. In a battle of teams heading in different directions, the Dream team will try or right the ship by sweeping the Money Takers. In a battle at both ends of the standings, the Roxborough Wranglers will try to sweep the Figtin' Irish. Spock was 4/5 last week making him 19/40 (48%) on the year. He regains top billing this week. Norm was 2/5 last week making him 24/40 (60%) on the year. His Lines (Actually My Estimates) appear below: GF -1 YG (249) DT -9 MT (269)BI -1 JB (254) FI -1 RW (253) BB -1 BS (257) Three games had some Monday Night Madness. The Body Shop completed the season sweep of the Dream Team. The Shop was led by Carr and Gronk as they climbed back to the .500 line. The Dream Team was led by Fitzgerald and Rodgers in their 5th loss in a row. I miss Peterson. Two TEs were the recipe for success for a reeling Dream Team. |
The Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of the Young Gunz as they stretched their winning streak to 3 games. The Beans were led by recently acquired Kirk Cousins. It made sense, but I bet there were some worried Beans (until about the first quarter). The Gunz were led by Brady and Peterson (sigh) as they lost their second in a row. A West start would have had the Gunz in the money instead of the Beans. The Good Fellas completed the season sweep of the Bishops of Battle, won their 3rd in row and notched their first helmet of the year in the process. All this success was due in large part to the performances of Brees, Brown Evans and Floyd. The Bishops squandered nice performance by Bortles and Cooks. Both teams find themselves in that .500 traffic jam. The Roxborough Wranglers and a 69.4 point lead proved to be way too much for the Black & Blue Attack and Dalton on Monday night. The Wranglers got back on the winning track by sweeping the Attack (handily in both games). The Wranglers were led by Flacco, Decker and an MVP performance by Langford in the win. The Attack failed to field a 20 point starter. There was enough help on the bench to make a difference, but that would have involves starting Big Ben when he was not even supposed to play. If Ben was that good in relief, why was he the backup this week? I suppose it was just caution. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Money Takers and Fightin' Irish. In reality one of the Sunday games like my own should be Game of the week because all of the Monday night games were blowouts. I went with this one mainly because of the umber of players going on Monday. The Takers, Hopkins and a 46.4 point lead proved to be way too much for the Irish, Jones, Washington and Nugent on Monday night. The Takers were led by Beckham as they climbed to 6-4. The Irish failed to field a 20 point starter and they definitely started the wrong Manning brother, but it would not have mattered much in the final analysis.
