The Bishops of Battle carried a 26.6 point lead into Monday night against the Black & Blue Attack and Antonio Gates. It was a threat but not a real one, but Gates whipped up a pre-game potion that was half fountain-of-youth and half chip-on-the-shoulder to counter that notion. Gates put on a show and gave the Attack a much needed win. This could have easily been “GOW”, but it was not. The Attack was led by Dalton and Gates. The Bishops were led by Bortles and Cooks in the loss that dropped them out of the Money. An Ellington start would have made a difference.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Young Gunz and the Roxborough Wranglers. The Wranglers and Allen carried 15.8 pt. lead into Monday night against the Gunz and Bell. The Wranglers still held a 3.9 pt. lead with 5 seconds left in the week. The Steelers were down by 3 and on the 1 foot line. They had 1 timeout left. They could play it safe take the FG and head into OT and who knows what would have happened there. They could have tried a quick pass and maybe still had time for the FG, or they could go for broke and send Bell into victory or quite possibly a loss and a bunch of Tuesday morning armchair quarterbacking. Bell scores from the wildcat on the last play. Steelers win. Young Gunz win. What a finish to week 5. Gunz were led by Brady and Jones. The Wranglers were led by Bradford and Edelman in the loss that dropped them out of the top spot. A Gore start would have made Monday night boring.

The Money Takers squeaked out a victory against the Jelly Beans. The Takers were led by Murray, Beckham and Hopkins as they climbed above the Money Line. The Beans were led by Robinson and Eifert. A Kaepernick (how hard is that name to spell) start would have had the Bans at 3-2 instead of the Takers.

The Body Shop had the “W” against the Irish on Sunday. The only question was whether rivers would land them their 2nd helmet in a row on Monday night. He did, that Pirate Parrot firing seems to have inspired the Shop. The Shop was led by Rivers, Freeman, Hurns and Gostkowski. The Irish had nice performance out of Eli and Forsett in the loss that finds them at the bottom of the standings despite being 5th in poin t scored. Bone, what did you do to offend the scheduling gods?
