![]() Week 12 finds the waiver wire red hot and two more trades this week. I remember when 2 trades in a season was a lot. The Young Gunz early season prediction is looking more and more like it was accurate. If it is OK with Brett, the Dream Team will try to win this week any way, even if it might put a kink in that prediction. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2013 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Body Shop will try to halt theirs skid by sweeping the Good Fellas. The Black & Blue Attack will try to maintain their newly acquired penthouse digs by sweeping the Jelly Beans. The Dream Team will try to keep their Championship hopes alive by sweeping the Fightin' Irish. The Money Takers will try to continue their climb up the standings by sweeping the Bishops. In a game that is more about pride than anything else, the Roxborough Wranglers will try to complete the season sweep of the defending Champion Young Gunz. Spock was 3/5 last week making him 31/50 (62%) on the year. He retains top billing. Norm was 3/5 last week making him 29/50 (58%) on the year. His lines (my estimates) appear below: JB -1 GF (261) RW -1 MT (263)DT -9 BB (295) FI -2 YG (252) BI -2 BS (258) All 5 games had a little Monday Night Madness. Guess that happens with the extra game. The Body Shop completed the season sweep of the Good Fellas as a 19.8 point was not enough against Stills and Graham to on Monday night. The Saints receiving duo made the Shop HQ an antsy place to be for a while but early in the second half they were feeling much better. The Shop was led by Mettenberger, Forte, and Graham. The Shop had this crazy plan of playing TITANS against the EAGLES defense. This led to the benching of Wilson and Smith. Now if you ask me, Wilson and Smith outscored Mettenberg and Wright. I say plan failed. The Fellas failed to field a 20 point starter and now find themselves with a tougher path to the Money. The Black & Blue Attack completed the season sweep of the Jelly Beans, and snagged their 4th helmet of the year as a 93 pt. lead proved to be too much for Ingram, Daniels and S. Graham on Monday night. The Attack was led by Luck, Anderson, Green, Thomas as they continue their hold on that top spot. The Beans were led by Charles in the loss. |
The Dream Team completed the season sweep of the Fightin' Irish as T. Smith and a 28.7 pt. lead proved to be too much for Tucker on Monday night. Got to admit that Tucker 55 yd. FG scared me a bit. The Dream Team was led by Brady and Boldin as they try to keep their Championship hopes alive. The Irish failed field a 20 point starter. An Allen and Sanu start would have give the Irish the "W". The Young Gunz, Decker and a 23.9 point lead were not enough to hold off the Roxborough Wranglers, Brees and Watkins on Monday night. Brees, Lacy and Parker led the Wranglers as they avenged their early season loss. The Gunz were led by Romo and Sanders in the loss. The Gunz played 2 of their 3 TEs. If they play the other one . . . . The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Money Takers and the Bishops of Battle. The Standings implications are why this one beat out the Gunz-Wrangler game. The Bishops and Forsett had to overcome Harvin and a 28.7 point lead on Monday night. Harvin fizzled and Forsett shined but even into the 4th quarter, the Takers looked like they would survive. On Forsett's last carry of the night (with under 3 minutes left to go), he breaks off a 20 yard TD run which seals the "W" for the RAVENS and the Bishops. Rodgers, Forsett, Hilton, Gordon and Walker led the Bishops as they avenged their early season loss to the Takers. The Takers were led by Manning, Beckham and Bryant in the loss. A Morris start over Herron would have kept the Takers in third place. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
