![]() Well, it has been a while since a team not named the Body Shop was at the top of the standings. I think Mr. Met is beginning to panic and went on a little spending spree on the waiver wire (the question is Mr. Casey also panicking). There was also some grumbling about the most recent trade. Maybe Week 14 is too far along for the deadline. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2013 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Body Shop will try to halt theirs skid by sweeping the Good Fellas. The Black & Blue Attack will try to maintain their newly acquired penthouse digs by sweeping the Jelly Beans. The Dream Team will try to keep their Championship hopes alive by sweeping the Fightin' Irish. The Money Takers will try to continue their climb up the standings by sweeping the Bishops. In a game that is more about pride than anything else, the Roxborough Wranglers will try to complete the season sweep of the defending Champion Young Gunz. Spock was 4/5 last week making him 28/45 (62%) on the year. He regains top billing. Norm was 3/5 last week making him 26/45 (58%) on the year. His lines (my estimates) appear below: GF -1 BS (265) BI -1 MT (259)JB -2 BS (262) RW -2 YG (260) DT -9 FI (273) Two games had a little Monday Night Madness. The other three were over on Sunday. The Good Fellas went into Monday with an 8.6 point lead and Bell in their back pocket. The Fellas scored their 2nd helmet in a row and 4th overall (twice against the Dream Team). The Fellas were led by Sanchez, Bell, Evans and Nelson as they inserted themselves back into the battle for the Money spots. The Dream was led by Brady and Benjamin in their first loss in 7 weeks. At 7-4 both trams find themselves tied for that last Money Spot and a game out of the top spot. The Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers. Charles and White led to the Beans second win in a row. The Wranglers were led by Lacy and Maclan in the loss. Both teams need to make a run if they want to make this season count, and they have to start it now. |
The Money Takers jumped up into a tie for first place by avenging their early season loss to the Fightin' Irish. The Takers were led by Manning in the W that helped them climb the standings. Personal commissioner vent: I score 120+ points and another team scores less than 100 and some how this other team jumps ahead of me in the standings. The Irish failed to start a 20 pt. player, but had a couple on the bench that would have made a difference. The Bishops of Battle and a 28.9 pt. lead just barely held off the Young Gunz, Big Ben and Bryant on Monday. The STEELERS discovered their running game and the Gunz found the loss column again. The Bishops were led by Rodgers and Marshall as they won their 2nd in a row, swept the Gunz and kept their money hopes alive. The Gunz were led by Jeffrey and Sanders. A Newton start would have made a difference. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Black & Blue Attack and the Body Shop. OK I basically made this game GOW last week just because it was first vs. second. The teams went out and earned it any way. The Shop carried a 0.9 pt. lead into Monday night against the Attack and Brown. The STEELERS running game was strong, but not that strong. The Attack won and took the top spot in the standings. The Attack was led by Luck, Brow and Green on their way to the top. The Body Shop (at least, I think it was the Shop - the Week 12 team was a lot different than the Week 11 team) was led by Forte and Cobb. The Shop had some help on the bench, but not enough to keep them in first place. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
