![]() Week 11 finds some ore turmoil at the top of the standings and let just say the Commissioner is not happy about this recent trend. That being said, all but 3 teams are within 2 games of a Elite spot and 5 are with 2 games of the top spot. Not bad after 11 weeks of play. We also had another 3 for 1 trade this week (wonder of Welker is feeling extra-special this week). Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2013 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Bishops of Battle will try to avenge their week 3 loss to the Good Fellas and hold on to that top spot in the standings. The Jelly Beans will try to avenge their loss to the Body Shop, both teams really need a win. The Black & Blue Attack will try to complete the season sweep of the Fightin' Irish and maybe climb back above the Elite line. The Dream Team will try to complete the season sweep of the M. Takers and stop some of the recent bleeding. The Young Gunz will try to avenge their early season loss to the Roxborough Wranglers and stay in the battle to defend their title. Norm was 2 of 5 last week making him 18 of 40 (45%) on the year. He regains top billing. Spock was 0 of 5 last week making him 19 of 40 (48%) on the year. His locks appear below: BI -3 GF (263) DT -21 MT (265)BS -7 JB (243) YG -25 RW (269) BB -23 FI (261) None of the games were over on Sunday. At least a few of the games that were not over had some real Monday Night Madness. The Bishops of Battle, the PATRIOTS and a 32.1 point lead proved to be too much for the Black & Blue Attack and the PANTHERS on Monday night. With the win the Bishops completed the season sweep of the Attack, won their 5th game in a row, notched their first helmet of the year and jumped into sole possession of first place. The Bishop headquarters must have been rocking last night and they I am sure game balls went out to Wilson, Forte, Clay and maybe an extra special game ball went to Megatron. Only RG3 showed up as the Attack tried not to loose sight of the Elite line. Gordon, Bell and Brown could have pushed the Attack over that Elite Line. |
The Good Fellas and a 39.3 point lead proved to be too much for the Body Shop and Amendola on Monday night. The win, due in large part to the efforts of Ryan, the Beast and Shady, put the Fellas over the Elite Line. The Shop failed to field a 20 point starter, but Dalton and Douglas did have some nice performances on the Shop bench. Yes nice enough to deliver a Shop victory. The Figthin' Irish and 37.2 point lead was way too much for the M. Takers and Olsen on Monday night. The Irish completed the season sweep due to monster games out of Big Ben and the ENGALS. Only V-Jaxx showed up for the Takers and there wasn't a whole lot of help on the Taker bench. The Dream Team, Gronk and an 8.5 point lead were not enough to hold off the Roxborough Wranglers, Cam, Dobson and Gostkowski on Monday night. The Wranglers avenged their early season loss and jumped out of the basement due to nice performance by Cam and Antonio Brown. The Dream Team failed to field a 20 point scorer as the dropped another notch in the standings. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Jelly Beans and the Young Gunz. The Beans, Brady and Smith overcame a 19.3 lead by the Gunz on Monday night, just barely as in the end the Beans avenged their early season loss with a 7 point win. The Beans were led by Rice and CJ2K (starting to have a revival). Only Dre Johnson managed to score 20 for the Young Gunz. A Jennings or Stafford start would have kept the defending champs back in first palace. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
