![]() Week 10 finds some other team at the top of the standings, and I can tell you the Commissioner's office is not happy. In fact there is a 3 way tie for first and all but 3 teams are within 2 games of a Elite spot. I guess as a Commissioner, I should be happy about the close standings, yet somehow I am not. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2013 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Bishops of Battle will try to complete the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack in a battle of Elite teams. The Good Fellas will try to complete the season sweep of the Body Shop. The Young Gunz will try to complete the season sweep of the Jelly Beans and stay on top of the standings. The Fightin' Irish will try to sweep the M. Takers as both teams try to distance themselves from the basement. The Dream Team will try to sweep the Roxborough Wranglers and maybe find that top spot again. Spock was 3 of 5 last week making him 19 of 35 (54%) on the year. He retains top billing. Norm was 3 of 5 last week making him 16 of 35 (46%) on the year. His lines (actually my estimates) appear below: BB -3 BI (249) MT -1 FI (247)GF -2 BS (252) DT -12 RW (260) JB -3 YG (254) Two games were over on Sunday, one was more or less over and the other two had a little Monday Night Madness. The Black & Blue Attack completed the season sweep of the Good Fellas and climbed above the Elite Line. The Attack also scored their second helmet of the year due in large part to the efforts of Luck, AP, Green, Thomas and Haushka (it was a team effort). Lynch was the only Good Fellas starter to clear the 20 point barrier and they did not really have any help on the bench. The Young Gunz avenged their week 1 loss to the Dream Team and in the process replaced them at the top of the standings. The Gunz were led by Andre Johnson, Garcon, Marshall and the unlikely Eagle double-bubble of Foles and Cooper. Only Peyton and Hilton managed to clear the 20 point barrier for the Dream Team. There was no help on the Dream Team bench that would have kept them at the top of the standings. |
The Jelly Beans avenged their week 1 loss to the Figthin' Irish as an 88.1 point lead proved to be a bit too much for Miller and Wright on Monday night. The Beans were led by Thomas, D-Jax, Jeffery and the RAMS. The Irish failed to field a 20 point scorer and they had none on the bench either. The Irish score was the lowest of the tear replacing last week's Irish score. Not a good trend for the Irish. In absolute score fest (NOT), the M. Takers completed the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers. The Takers, Jackson and Wallace overcame a 4.6 point lead on Monday night. The Takers were led by Julius Thomas in the win. The Wranglers failed to field a 20 point scorer. So the Takers put up s 77.7 and get a win while my team almost doubles that score and loses. Norm what did you do the Fantasy Gods??? The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Bishops of Battle and the Body Shop. The Bishops avenged their week 1 season loss to the Shop as Clay overcame a 0.5 point lead on Monday night. The win put the Bishops, who were led by Wilson and Megatron, in a three way tie for first place. The Shop was led by Brees in the loss. There were several options for the Shop on the bench that would have given the Shop a season sweep of the Bishops of Battle. Coach Casey could be seen smashing his IPad into pieces after Clay's first catch on Monday night. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
