NORM'S LINES - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 4 still finds the youngsters dominating the standings and mostly everybody else is at 2-2. The Good Fellas remain undefeated and the Bishops of Battle are still looking for that first SWFFL win. The BYE weeks have heated the waiver wire up again. Next weeks' notes will probably be just as late, but after that we should be back to our normal routine.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2012 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do.

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The Bishops of Battle will try to find "W" column against the Dream Team. In a battle of 2-2 teams, the Body Shop will take on the Roxborough Wranglers. In a family affair, the Good Fellas will try to remain undefeated against the Jelly Beans. The Figtin' Irish will try to beat the M. Takers and knock them out of the Elite. In a battle of Elite teams, the Black & Blue Attack will take on the Young Gunz.

Norm was 3 of 5 last week making him 4/10 (40%) for the year. Norm's Lines appear above. Spock was 2 for 5 last week making him 5/10 (50%) on the year. Spock's Locks appear below:

DT  -1 BI (263)     MT -19 FI (261)
BS  -1 RW (249)     YG -13 BB (255)
GF -29 JB (251)

Only 1 game was over; 2 others were more or less over and 2 had some degree of Monday Night Madness.

The Black & Blue Attack kept the Bishops of battle winless in their revival. That Attack was led by Ryan, Fitzgerald, Decker, Prater and the 49ERS as they grabbed the week 4 helmet. The Bishops were led by Rodgers, Green and Welker. The Bishsop put a 150 in the loss which in many weeks would land you the helmet. Apparently the Fantasy Gods are not done punishing the Bishops for their transgressions. Casey, what exactly were there transgressions again?

The Roxborough Wranglers climbed back to .500 and knocked the M. Takers back to .500 as well. The Wranglers were led by Brady, D-Jax and the TEXANS. The Takers had nice efforts by RG3, Charles and Cruz. A Newton start would have allowed the Takers to keep pace with the Good Fellas. I lost a game in another league going for the RG3 hype as well over a solid Peyton performance. So who is it going to be this week Bubba, the rookie sensation from last year or this year?

The Good Fellas, Jeffrey, the BEARS and a 9.3 point lead proved to be much against the Body Shop and the COWBOYS. The Fellas were led by T Smith, Olsen and the BEARS in the win. Romo seemed to be a touch color blind on Monday night, and that proved to be a bad night for Casey all around (real and fantasy football). The Shop was led by Fitzpatrick and Nelson in the loss. I suppose you do not need to draft a QB early if you can find a 46 point week on the waiver wire. Despite the Fitzpatrick performance, the Shop would have had to start a perfect lineup to give the youngsters their first "L". Somebody better start handing them Ls soon, or this may be over very quickly.

The Dream Team and Bryant overcame a 5.4 pt. lead against the Young Gunz on Monday night. Fortunately for yours truly, Bryant ended the game early and I could even turn off the game early. The Dream Team was led by Lynch, White and Bryant as they handed the Gunz their first loss. Brees, Bowe and V-Jax led the Gunz in their first defeat. Bolden and Wright starts over Gonzo and Matthews would have kept the Gunz undefeated and in a tie with the other team of youngsters.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Jelly Beans and the Fightin' Irish. The Beans, Marshall and Witten managed to overcome a 48.9 point lead on Monday night. Marshall and Witten put up a cobined 60 points on Monday night and led the Beasn back to the pack at 2-2. Peyton, Truner and Gronk led the Fightin' Irish in the loss. A balckmon and PATRIOTS start would have put the Irish in the 2-2 pack instead of the Beans. There is nothing like a nice dash of Monday Might Madness between former neighbors.
