![]() Week 14 still finds the Young Gunz on top by 2 games with 3 games left. It is surely getting late for anyone else to make a run for the trophy. Speaking of late, the trade deadline has passed. The only help you can get now is in the free agent pool. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2012 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Bishops of Battle will try to complete the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers and perhaps finally escape the potential of a last place finish. The Dream Team will try to avenge their early season loss to the Body Shop and keep their Elite hopes alive. The Good Fellas will try to avenge their early season loss to the M. Takers and tighten their grip on that last Elite spot. The Jelly Beans will try to complete the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack and keep hold of their Elite spot as their chances to repeat are fading fast. The Young Gunz will try to avenge their early season loss to the Fightin' Irish in a battle of the top two teams in the standings. Norm was 3 of 5 making him 28/60 (47%) on the year. His lines (my estimates) appear above. Spock was 2 of 5 last week making him 31/60 (52%) for the year. Spock's locks appear below: BI -9 RW (247) JB -10 BB (244)DT -5 BS (253) YG -5 FI (259) GF -1 MT (253) One game was over on Sunday. Two were more or less over. The other two had some Monday night Madness. The Young Gunz completed the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack, notched their 3rd helmet of the year and took one more step towards that first SWFFL Championship. The Gunz were led by Brrit and V-Jax as they pull into the final turn. The Attack was led by Ryan and Rice in the loss. Some combination of Manning, Lloyd, Pita and Prater would have kept the Attack from being technically eliminated from the Elite, moved them out of the basement and given some other teams some real hope at grabbing that trophy. |
The Dream Team completed the season sweep of the Bishops of Battle as Welker could not overcome a 51 point lead on Monday night. The Dream Team was led by Stafford, Lynch and White as they won their 3rd in a row and still have a decent shot at the Elite. The Bishops were led by Rodgers and Sproles in the loss that all but eliminates them form a Elite spot. In a family affair, the Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of the Goodfellas and kept their slim hopes of repeating alive as Henrandez fell just short of making up a 39.9 point lead on Monday night. The Beans were led by Kaepernick and Marshall. Hernandez and AP led the Godfellas as they have now lost 3 of 4. A Brown and Dawson start would have kept the Fellas alive for the title, now they are all but eliminated. The Roxborough Wranglers avenged their early season loss to the reeling Body Shop as Brady, Gostkowski and the Texans overcame a Foster, Ridley Graham and a 4.1 point lead. The Wranglers were led by Brady as they put another game between them and the basement. The Shop was failed to field a 20 point starter as they lost their 4th in a row. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Fightin' Irish and the M. Takers. The Irish avenged their early season loss the Takers as Andre Johnson and Daniels barely overcame a 22.9 point lead on Monday night. The Irish was led by the SEAHAWKS as they won their 4th in a row. Charles and Cruz led the Takers as they dropped their 3rd in a row and now are a lot closer to the basement than the Elite line. With a one point loss, there are usually some points left on the bench that would have made a difference. The Takers have a lot but probably the biggest was the picking this year's rookie phenom over last year's. The Irish are on a roll as they enter into Week 15's monster match up with the Young Gunz.
