![]() Week 13 still finds the Young Gunz comfortably on top, but now there are a few teams that are 2 games back, and with they are on the wrong end of the "points" differential with the Irish. As a reminder, the trade deadline is Week 14's lineup deadline. After 1:00 PM on December 9th, no more trades will be allowed. So get that transaction wire buzzing while you still can. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2012 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Dream Team will try to avenge their early season loss to the Bishops of Battle and keep their Elite hopes alive. The Body Shop will try to stop their mini-skid by sweeping the Roxborough Wranglers. In a family battle among Elite teams, the Jelly Beans will try to sweep the Good Fellas. The red hot Fightin' Irish will try to avenge their early season loss to slumping M. Takers. The Young Gunz will try to take one more step to the trophy by sweeping the Black & Blue Attack. Norm was 4 of 5 making him 25/55 (45%) on the year. His lines (my estimates) appear above. Spock was 3 of 5 last week making him 29/55 (53%) for the year. Spock's locks appear below: BI -7 DT (259) FI -6 MT (256)BS -5 RW (247) YG -21 BB (245) GF -4 JB (254) One game was over on Sunday. Two were more or less over. The other two had some Monday night Madness. The Good Fellas completed the season sweep of the Body Shop and notched their second helmet of the year. The Fellas were led by Romo, AP and Matt Bryant as they climbed back into the running for the Championship. Freeman and Shorts led the Body Shop as they dropped their third in a row. The Shop's best lineup would have lost, but they left a lot of Luck on the bench (sorry for the poor pun, just could not help myself). |
The Bishops of Battle avenged their early season loss of the Black & Blue Attack as Bradshaw and a 69.3 point lead was too much for the Attack and Nicks on Monday night. The Bishops were led by Rodgers, Thomas and Welker as they put some distance between themselves and the basement. The Attack was led by Rice in the loss, and although they had a lot of points on the bench, but not enough to make the difference. The Dream Team completed the season sweep of the Young Gunz as the REDSKINS and a 34.2 point lead proved to much for the GIANTS on Monday night. WOW - only 3 losses on the season and two of them are to the Dream Team. That is interesting. The Dream team was led by Stafford and Dez Bryant as they inched closer to the Elite line. Only Hanson cleared the 20 point barrier for the Young Gunz as their lead on the pack remained the same, but somehow less comfortable. There were several options on the bench for the Gunz to maintain an even larger lead. I should use that "Jinx" thing more often. The Roxborough Wranglers completed the season sweep of the M. Takers as RG3 and Cruz could not overcome a 43 point lead on Monday night. The Wranglers were led by Gordon and Rice as the Wranglers try to dog their way out of the basement. The Takers were led by Spiller. At the Takers request, I will not mention that a Newton start would have given them the loss. Oops, sorry. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Jelly Beans and the Fightin' Irish. The Irish avenged their early season loss t the Beans as Tynes and a 22.4 pint lead proved to be too much for Garcon on Monday night. The Irish was led by Manning, Megatron and Brown as they just missed scoring their 3rd helmet in a row. The Beans were led by Garcon and Marshall in the loss. The Beans could have gotten with a game of the retaining that trophy with a Cutler start. Both teams are still very much Elite teams and they both still have title hopes, however slim they might be.
