![]() Week 11 finds the Young Gunz still at the top of the standings and widening their lead. It may be a bit too early, but we may all be playing for second place (well maybe some of us are). Well one thing we can all be thankful for (on this the week of Thanksgiving) is that the dreaded BYE weeks are gone. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2012 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Fightin' Irish will try to complete the season sweep of the Bishops of Battle and try and stay above the Elite line. The Body Shop will try to avenge their early season loss to the Black & Blue Attack and keep those Elite hopes alive. In a family affair the Good Fellas will try to complete the season sweep of the Dream Team and make up some ground against the Young Gunz. The Jelly Beans will try to avenge their early season loss to the M. Takers and keep a strong hold on their Elite slot. The Young Gunz hope to keep on rolling as they try to sweep the Roxborough Wranglers. Spock was 3 of 5 last week making him 24/45 (53%) for the year. His lock's appear above. Norm was 3 of 5 making him 19/45 (42%) on the year. Norm's Lines (actually my estimates) appear below: BI -1 FI (247) MT -1 JB (252)BB -2 BS (248) RW -1 YG (249) DT -7 GF (259) Two games were over on Sunday. One was more or less over. The other two had some Monday night Madness. The Fightin' Irish avenged their early season loss to the Body Shop, jumped back over the Elite line and scored their third "helmet" of the year. All in all, it was a nice week for the Fightin' Irish (both the original Irish and the SWFFL version). The Irish were led by Peyton, Megatron, Gronk, the PATRIOTs and Dre' Johnson. Only Luck managed to clear 20 points as the Shop was evicted from their Elite position. The M. Takers completed the season sweep of the Dream Team. The Takers ended a 4 game losing streak largely on the performance of RG3. RG3's point difference against Cam was the difference in the game. White and Bryant performed well for the Dream Team but noat enough to cover a luke-warm QB performance a running game destroyed by the BYE week. |
The Bishops of Battle avenged their early season loss to the Good Fellas as Fellas and the BEARS could not overcome a 27 point lead on Monday night. The Bishops were led by Rodgers and Green as they got back on the winning track. The Fellas were led by Cobb as they lost a 3 game winning streak and a big game in the standings behind the Young Gunz. In a battle to avoid the basement, The Roxborough Wranglers completed the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack as Davis and the 49ERS could not overcome a 43.6 point lead on Monday night. The Wranglers won due in large part to the performance by Tm Terrific. Their point total still kept them in the basement. The Attack was led by Davis in the loss. A Moore start would have kept the Attack out of a tie for last place. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Young Gunz and the Jelly Beans. Yes, the contest between the Wranglers and Black & Blue was closer, but that game was a battle for the basement. This one was for the penthouse. The Gunz completed the season sweep of the Jelly Beans as the Gunz, Gould and a 42.7 point lead proved to be too much for Forte, Gore and Marshall. The Gunz were led by Brees and V-Jax as they put some more distance between them and the rest of the league. The Beans were led by Rivers in the loss. A LaFell start would have put the Beans in a tie for first place. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
